Hello,
You have not mentioned your category anywhere. But I suppose you are from a reserved category (sc /st) since your category markt rank is quite low and this is normally the case with reserved category candidates.
If you are from a reserved category then you can participate in the councelling process on the basis of your category merit rank.
Yes with this catwgory merit rank you have decent chances of getting fashion design in some of the nift centres .nift conducts multiple rounds of councelling .So you can also participate in the subsequent rounds of councelling. It might help you in landing up in a better nift centre.hopefully you can get the following muft centres.
Nift bhopal
Nift kannur
Nift raebareli
Nift Shillong
Nift srinagar.

Since you are from a reserved category so you can participate in the councelling process on the basis of your category merit rank.
Since your rank is way too high ,so you can get admission in in some of the nift centres only. There also you might not get the desired course. Hopefully you can get the following centres.
Nift raebareli
Nift Shillong
Nift srinagar
You can register for the subsequent rounds of councelling. It might help you in landing up in a better centre with the desired course.

My common merit rank is 2613 iam general is there any chance of getting me into nift for fd or textile

You might not be able to get FD but yeah you can get textile in Kannur, kangra, jodhpur, Bhopal and Patna.
You can still try in Shillong and Raibareli for fashion designing as there are chances.

You might not get these seats in first counseling. So keep trying till the last counseling.

Since you are from general category so you can participate in the councelling process only on the basis of your common merit rank.
As you have mentioned your general rank is 1300 so i believe your common merit rank would be around 15 to 1600.with this rank you can definitely get admission in some of the muft colleges.you might land up in the following nift centres-

Nift kannur
Nift srinagar
Nift shillong
Nift raebareli

Can i apply for nift after ba(english)?

Yes, you can. There are two courses - Master of Fashion Management and MAster of Design. Both are really good too. The course is mainly focussed on Design Research. If you see yourself doing trend analysis, user experience design and research, sustainable research, then this course is definitely for you. If you are trained in design (you know sewing, pattern making etc.), then this course is an icing in the cake. But if you are someone who does not have a prior experience in Design and you wish to pursue fashion design, then this course could disappoint you. Also, regularly check the NIFT website. They organize an open session at the same time the applications for new admission are out. There you may get a chance to talk to faculty and students directly. Hope it helps. Thanks!
