Candidates seeking admissions to NIFT B.Des programme have to appear for Creative Ability Test (CAT) as well as General Ability Test (GAT). Both have different types of questions. Shortlisted candidates are required to take the Situation Test. For admission to B.F.Tech programme, candidates have to take GAT only. Seats to B.Design and B.F.Tech are allocated solely on the basis of merit.

As per previous year cut off, it won't be possible to get fashion designing in NIFT chennai with CMR 4186 as the last rank admitted was 1281 in OBC category.

But, you can get fashion designing in NIFT shillong and NIFT srinagar. You may try for other courses as well.

Dear Aspirant, the general ability test or GAT for B. Des and M. Des consists of following - 1.Quantitive Ability, 2.Communication Ability, 3.English Comprehension, 4.Analytical Ability, 5 general knowledge and current affairs.

You can get the previous year question papers form the official website or any other sites where questions are given.
