I have completed my 12th standard study from National Institute of open schooling (NIOS) and i want to apply for neet. can i give neet if i am from nios? If yes, please help me in clearing neet in first attempt..

Ankita Singh 22nd Dec, 2021

Hello Prem,

The students of open learning school like National Institute of Open learning are very much eligible to take admission in different medicinal courses like MBBS, BHMS, BDS etc by appearing for the NEET exam.

So , there is nothing to worry if you have done your schooling from NIOS. You can give this exam after meeting the required eligibility criteria like you must be above 17 years of age, you must have scored more than 50% marks in physics, chemistry and biology.

So, to prepare for this exam firstly you have to read the syllabus of the exam and understand it. Then you have to decide your booklist which you are going to use for the preparation of this exam. After these two things, you have to analyse very carefully the previous years papers of this exam and you have to understand the demand of the exams, what type of questions they ask in this exam.

After you are done with these things, then start studying and firstly you have to clear your concept in each and every subject and focus on the theoretical parts of the subjects and when you are done with one topic or subject, try to solve questions as much as you can. Remember two things, revision and practice is the key to get through any exam. Give as many mocks as you can and try to analyse your mistakes in those mocks and then strengthen your strong areas and improve your weak topics.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you!

Sohamsengupta8 25th Dec, 2020

Hello student

You have to choose from intermediate or Pre university  education which  the both which is of 2 years course .For each of the courses 4  core subjects and two language subjects also.

So according to importance open school intermediate pass out students will  get less importance in the sphere of education and job

So you have to choose from intermediate or  P UE course. PUE course is conducted by Karnataka state Education Board.

Hope this will be helpful.
