Lavanya awasthi 14th Jun, 2021

Hi

For NEET physics us a very important and definitely a little tough part as most of the things are from numerical column.

But definitely some theoretical questions are extremely important from physics section like from chapters

Gravitation

Thermodynamics

Semi conducters

Wave and ray optics

Modern physics

These are some chapters from which most probably a theoretical question come maybe in form of a formula or graph question so pls be thorough with it.

Furthermore other topics formulas and concepts are important as well.

How much can I secore with ncert only in jee mains. I have studied nothing and I have only 2 to 3 months left in exam.

apoorvakomuravelly 10th Jun, 2021
Hi,
If your basics are good then try to solve as many problems as possible. Focus on maths which can score you better.
1.Try to solve the previous year problems.
2.Revise daily.
Two months are enough to crack it. if you formulate a bit of hope. I suggest you prepare the known concepts in detail other than going for new cases.
Best of luck!

How to read NCERT for 2023 NEET Aspirants? How to Start preparing for NEET from Class 11th?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 8th Jun, 2021

Hi

Follow the below tips to prepare well for your Neet examination 2023 :-

* First of all you need to know the syllabus which you can get at https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-syllabus/amp

Focus more on NCERT, coming to how  to read it, while the studying the chapter, underline the important paragraphs,  stress  on understanding the concepts , in biology you shouldn't ignore the diagrams in ncert as questions are also asked diagram based, in chemistry go through all the NCERT examples, intext questions and excercise questions and same goes for physics. Also, don't ignore the summary in ncert biology.

The top books which you can follow for the preparation of your NEET  examination  are provided below:-

PHYSICS :-

  • NCERT Physics textbooks for Class XI and XII

  • Objective Physics for neet By DC Pandey

  • NCERT at your fingertips by mtg for physics

CHEMISTRY :-

  • NCERT Chemistry textbooks for Class XI and XII

  • Physical Chemistry by OP Tandon

  • MS Chauhan (Organic)

BIOLOGY:-

  • NCERT Biology Class XI and Class XII "-

  • NCERT at your fingertips by mtg for biology

  • Trueman's biology for 11th and 12th

For more about books for neet visit :- https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/best-books-for-neet

*Practice questions:- after finishing each chapter you should practice numericals and mcqs .You should practise at least 80 to100 numericals and mcqs in Each chapter to master concepts so that you can solve numericals and MCQs easily.

* Short breaks :- take short breaks in between your studies, studying continuously can be brain tiring and it becomes difficult to focus and study with concentration, so take breaks to relax and refresh your brain.

* Make short notes:- You should make chapterwise short notes for each chapter and it should contain all the important concepts and formulas. These short notes will be a great revision tool for your examination.

* Set  goals :- set daily goals like I have to cover these many topics today, weekly goals like I have to  cover these chapters this week and  solve their mcqs too by the end of this week and similarly set monthly goals to cover the syllabus and meet them without any fail.

* Follow a routine or timetable :- you can make a routine and religiously follow it and try to give at least 7- 8 hours to study each day in your routine.

  • PHYSICS is the  toughest part for most of the medical aspirants  as it has both numericals and concepts to deal with ,so keep at least 3 hours each day for physics

  • In Chemistry you have to deal with reactions and learn them and solve questions as well, so give at least 2.5 hours to Chemistry

  • In biology you have to read, learn and revise again and again, so keep around 2.5 hours for Biology.

*Revise:-  revise your concepts,  formulas etc at regular intervals  . Revision is very important otherwise as you move forward in your syllabus, you start forgetting the concepts you have learned before and you won't be able to perform well in your examination.

*Solve previous year NEET question  :- Solving previous year questions will let you know the examination pattern, type of questions asked in the exam and difficulty level of questions, also concepts  of the questions often gets repeated so it will be of great help to you . You can get previous year papers at https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-question-papers

* Go through NEET mock test papers :- Once you are done with your complete syllabus solve mock test papers as it will let you know your preparation level .After solving each mock test paper, analyse yourself which will help you to know your weak areas /topics  so that you can work on them and them strong so that you can perform well in your examination.

1. Reaction present in Ncert is sufficient for NEET Chemistry?? 2. Is mastering Ncert for organic is enough for neet?? or we have to watch those lengthy videos for neet Chemistry?

ayanmukherjee045 8th Jun, 2021

Dear aspirant,

For neet , ncert chemistry is enough for it. All the reactions in that book are more than enough for neet. But yes for organic you need to have proper hold of the mechanisms of the organic chemistry reactions. If you are clear with the mechanisms then its allright.

But if you are not good with mechanism then you need to solve some previous year neet questions to understand the mechanisms specially of those when a nucleophile will come into play or an electrophile.

Get hold of  the general organic chemistry which is the crux for all the mechanisms. Sn1,Sn2 reactions.

do reading ncert book and neet mcq book are enough for neet?

Shruti 7th Jun, 2021
Hi Aspirant,

As of theory is concerned, definitely NCERT is sufficient to study and build your foundation. And you can revise the topics thoroughly from NCERT.
But, as NEET 2021 is an objective type entrance exam so you need to pratice MCQs and for that NCERT is not enough as they don't provide MCQs for pratice.

For that you can refer to following reference books,
For Physics:
  • Objective Physics by DC Pandey
  • Concepts of Physics by H.C. Verma
  • Fundamental Physics by Pradeep
  • Concepts of Competition Physics for CBSE PMT by Agarwal
  • Problems in General Physics by IE Irodov

For Chemistry:
  • Objective Chemistry (Volume 1 and 2) by Arihant Publications
  • Organic, Inorganic and Physical Chemistry by OP Tandon
  • ABC of Chemistry for Class 11 and 12 by Modern
  • Objective Chemistry for NEET by R.K. Gupta
  • Concise Inorganic Chemistry by JD Lee
  • Objective Chemistry 3 Volumes by S. Dinesh & Co.

For Biology:
  • Biology Volume 1 and 2 by Trueman
  • Objective Biology by Dinesh
  • Objective Botany by Ansari
  • Moderns ABC for Biology Part 1 and 2
  • GR Bathla Publications for Biology
  • Exploring Biology 2 Volumes by Sanjay Sharma and Sudhakar Banerjee
  • Medical Entrance Biology 3 Volumes by Mamta R Solanki and Lalita Ghotik (Target Publications)

You can read the article regarding same,

Nikita 21st Aug, 2021

Hello Student,

The new NCF is expected to be ready by March 2021,” the HRD Ministry said in a statement. The Ministry has directed the National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) that while redesigning textbooks, it is to be ensured that nothing but the core content is placed in them.

The NCERT and SCERTs will redesign textbooks in three phases between 2021 and 2024.
