Can I score 90+ Marks in kvpy SB stream just by ncert?

Dinesh Goyal 9th Nov, 2020

Hello,

This is suggested to use some other reference books along with NCERT Books .

However, NCERT books are the most preferred for national level competitive exams as these books comprise of topics in easy language which helps to grasp them well.

But reference books are useful for practicing with various questions related to a topic.

So, you should use some reference books and solve previous years KVPY question papers to prepare well.

Hope it helps!!!

i dont understand physics for neet. can I read ncert? will. it take too much time

Debdeep Pramanik 6th Nov, 2020

Dear aspirant,

For neet NCERT is the only book you have to be focused on when you start your NEET preparation. There is no doubt , that this book is the basic book and you should definitely read, study thoroughly not for just ones, but number of times to get a crystal clear idea on the topic. If you just follow NCERT, 60% problem can be solved from there. For advanced studying MTG Chapterwise-Topicwise is the best, there you can get idea about the toughness of the questions. You should follow several YouTube video also for your basic concepts, then move on to the advanced studying.

All the best.

i have decided to master NEET physics in less than 4 months, do i really need to refer HC verma, or NCERT is more than enough, ?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 5th Nov, 2020

The MHRD did announce that NEET 2021 will be conducted on a reduced syllabus. It was mentioned that the syllabus will be reduced atleast by 30% keeping in mind the reduced academic year. But the topics that might be deleted have not been announced yet. If you are looking to prepare for NEET on your own, you can try our NEET Knockout package which is available at: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-neet-may/ . It has as many as 17 years previous question papers with almost 5000 videos and concept videos. This is backed by Artificial Intelligence and so you can study at the comfort of your house at your own pace.  And the books are being recommended based on the current syllabus:

Physics:

NCERT Physics Class XI & Class XII
Concepts of Physics by H. C. Verma
Objective Physics By DC Pandey
Fundamentals of Physics by Halliday, Resnick and Walker
Fundamental Physics by Pradeep
Problems in General Physics by IE Irodov

Physics needs utmost focus and time because it involves with theoretical concepts and numbers. There should be a systematic approach in preparing for NEET. The important topics are Mechanics, ElectroDynamics, Modern Physics, Heat and Thermodynamics, Optics, Simple Harmonic Motion, Waves. Formulae form an integral part of your preparation. The important topics are Optics, Ray Optics, Optical Instruments, Wave Optics, Electronic Devices, Electrostatics, Electric Charges and Fields, Thermodynamics, Electrostatic Potential, Current Electricity, Electromagnetic induction, Alternating current, Dual Nature of Radiation and Matter. Highest weightage goes to Optics at 10%. Thermodynamics, Electrostatics, Electronic devices share 9%. Current Electricity and Electromagnetic induction, Alternating current take 8%. Dual Nature of Radiation gets 6% while Motion systems of rigid particles and body and Magnetic effects of Currents, Electromgentic waves and Magentism get 5%. Work, Energy and Power take 4%, Atoms and nuclei, Oscillation and Waves, Properties of Bulk Matter, Laws of Motion and Kinematics share 3% and the rest of the topics carry 2% weightage. Memorise as many formulae as you can and write them down and stick them as post its so that you can always see them. Practise regularly and try various kinds of questions. Solving previous papers and mock tests to test your improvement. Keep a clock and check the time its taking you to solve these questions. And improve the time as you practise more. One day of the week should be set aside for revision so as to keep the mind fresh. hello, I m a jee aspirant. in prep of jee self study is more imp than watching classes more but I m habituated to be in 100 percent online like seeing classes in online and practicing problems in online.so how can I get interest in reading books as ncert is imp for chemistry.how can I habituate ??

Sowmya Konkala 3rd Nov, 2020

hello aspirant,

now you have enough time to revise whole ncert for january exam.yes believe me you have time.but dont get lazy with that fact.people say your exam is near only 4 months you cant do it.but 2 months is enough to revise whole ncert of chemistry.first during my time also it was tough to revise the whole i used online and couldnt focus much but i used to read books though.but these days every thing has become soo online!.you need to focus on books also.so what i used to do and it helped me like amazing.i completed whole inorganic organic and physical in short period of time.so the thing is you can do the first thing in the morning with full efficiency and can give your 100% if you are really willing to study hard.so each day from now as you have about 30-35 chapters each day the first thing in the morning no matter what happens you should complete one chapter from ncert write it down and stick it front of you.like no matter what after you get up  the first thing you will be dng is completeing one chapter from ncert if its big one allot 2 days.and then only go for any other subject or work.like get up first thing do it!.trust me this ha helped me a lot.i used to hate inorganic and i set myself to read one chapter prior 2 months to exam each day a chapter from ncert prepare your notes from ncert nd revise before exam!.try it out the first thing in the mrng and den to other work daily!! with consistency.remember in these competetive exams consistency is the key.

hope this helps,

thankyou

hello !! can someone tell me that Is the NCERT Book is different at evry standards....or its a single book for every subject

ARYAN SAGAR 2nd Nov, 2020
Dear student,

Ncert books is one of the easiest and basic books that every student must read if they are finding some concepts difficult to understand from their own.
Now, there are different ncert books for different standards, for eg - class 12th ncert book is separate and class 11th ncert book is separate. So, it's not a combined book for every standards. It's divided for ever standard so, that students can prepare accordingly to their respective standards and they don't take load or burden of any kind. Also there are different ncert books for different subjects.
There is no combined ncert book. For physics it is different. For chemistry it is different. For other subjects too, the ncert book is different, and these books are made as per standards.
