NDA Exam
To qualify for NDA , you must either be appearing or have passed 12th grade in any board . Since your brother hasn't passed, he has to write NDA only after clearing his physics paper . There is still hope , don't you worry about it at all. Just focus on the exam.

The eligibility criteria for the NDA exam is that you should have passed 12th or any equivalent examination from a UGC-recognized Board of Examination or should be appearing for it. Only unmarried men/women are eligible between the age group of 16.5 and 19.5 years.
Since you were born in 2007, in 2026 you'll be 19 years old. That might be your only chance at clearing NDA, in one go. I'll suggest that you appear for the NDA exam in 2025 also, just to see what the exam pattern is, and how you handle the time management issue that many candidates face.

As per your question, see don't prepare for the exam which you wish to not give. To score good in an exam, not only in NDA, firstly write down the syllabus of the exam and divide them into topics. After that, prepare as per the topic and practice the formulae with similar type of questions. Then you will surely be able to crack the NDA exam.

Yes you can give the attempt. The NDA age range is 16.5–19.5 years old. Only unmarried male and female applicants who were born on July 2, 2005, and July 1, 2008, are eligible to apply for NDA 1 2024. Candidates for NDA 2 2024 must have been born between January 2, 2005, and January 1, 2008, in order to be eligible for the test.

To become a naval officer if you didn't get through NDA, you can also look through CDS, INET, 10+2 BTech Cadet Entry Scheme , and if you are an excellent musician or athlete , you can have a direct entry to the army.
The eligibility for NDA is that you have to either be appearing for twelfth grade in that year or have passed twelfth grade and that you should be in between 16.5 and 19.5 years of age to write this. As long as you qualify for both these criteria , you can write as many times as you want.

Unfortunately you are not eligible for the nda exam as per NDA Exam Guidelines candidates must have been born not earlier than July 2, 2005 and not later than July 1, 2008. NDA 2 2023 age limit is that candidates must have born not earlier than January 2, 2004, and not later than January 1, 2007.
