My fathers name in all my documents is Nirmal Roy. But in my caste certificate(SC) my fathers name is written as NirmalRoy they didnot give the space in between the first and last name. Will there be any problem in Neet Counselling?. Will they reject me. I am very worried.

Anurag Khanna 29th Jun, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Don't worry for this issue because this is usually considered by the authorities. See spacing between names is common issue and this is not going to be problem to you at any stage in NEET counselling. Your certificate will be verified by the authorities only to check your eligibility in the particular category and where there is any misprint in the names in category certificate, there might be some problem in it's verification but in your case there is no any misprinting. So don't worry for it.

I repeated class 12 cbse. Do I have to submit any gap certificate during neet counselling ?

Ujjwal Kumawat 27th Jun, 2021

No, NEET candidates are not required to submit gap year certificates , neither at the time of All India Quota (AIQ) counselling or State Quota counselling

Gap certificate is only required for droppers, It's needed to make sure that you did not take any Addmission in any other course , or get involved in any criminal or law breaking activity during that period and if you have joined any college without taking any break then you have to submit migration certificate and leaving certificate from the concerned university during the time of admission instead of gap certificate

Only documents like -

  • class 10,12 marksheet
  • passing certificate,
  • neet rank card,
  • provisional allotment letter,
  • id proof,
  • neet admit card,
  • birth certificate,
  • passport size photographs are required during document verification.

if want to know more about it check out the link given in below https://www.google.com/amp/s/medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet/amp

May i face any problem in NEET counselling and college allotment if i pass class 12 from NIOS.

Megha Bele 17th Jun, 2021

Hi aspirant,

No, you will not face any problem. You have to score at least 50 % aggregate in NIOS board examination. i.e 10 + 2 boards.

According to latest verdict, NIOS candidates are valid to write NEET examinations. It is a recognized board and acceptable.

You can go ahead with your counseling for NEET exams.

Hope that helps.

what is the security deposit for registration in up for neet counselling? Is it refundable ? can we apply in up if we are from other state?

Palak kumari 2nd Jun, 2021

Hey aspirant,

Of course other state students can apply for UP state counseling but there's a fact i.e, you'll be only able to get admission in private medical colleges. You won't get seat in any of the government medical colleges.

The security deposit money is a sum of Rs. 30,000 which is to be paid who are applying for government medical colleges admission. Those who are applying for private medical colleges they need to pay a security money of Rs.2lakh.This security money is refunded once the admission procedure is completed.

I changed my name, not spelling I changed my total name. I changed my name through Gazette , but 10th nd 12th marksheet are not changed(they have my old name) . Is it possible for me to get admission in college with my new name with the help of my Gazette document? (My aadhar and PAN card changed)

Subhrajit Mukherjee 1st Jul, 2021

Legally you should change your documents is the general rule. Now if you don't and you have to take admission then you have to provide a affidavit providing that you are providing all the information to be correct and the certificates, documents you provide are of the same i.e., you with two names as your new name and your old name. You can visit any lawyer and he/she can draft it.

I would highly recommend you to contact the college you want to take admission in and get it discussed with the officials. They may provide you more information regarding the format of affidavit or the rules you need to abide etc.

I hope this helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!

when I will report to my allotted college after neet counselling for admission process , will they have my previous attempts record??

anirudha vats 6th May, 2021

Hey,

You will have to report to your alloted college after the counseling ends. You will be notified about that in advance and will be given a deadline date till which you will need to report to the alloted college in case you want to take admission in the respective college allotted to you.

Don't worry they will notify you about that. As far as your past records are concerned the NTA do keep records of every student about their attempts and marks scored

Hope that helps.

Thank you.
