The exact number of SC category students appearing in JEE Mains 2024 has not been disclosed, but historical data gives us a useful estimate. In previous years, approximately 100,000 to 115,000 SC category students participated in JEE Mains across multiple sessions. For example, in 2023, around 106,000 SC students appeared, contributing to both January and April sessions.
These trends suggest a similar turnout in 2024, given that JEE typically attracts over a million candidates, with 9-10% belonging to the SC category. The competition and cutoffs for SC students are lower compared to the General category, but securing a good percentile remains essential for admission into NITs, IIITs, and other top institutes.
Best Wishes.

The Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) is a targeted public distribution system (PDS) program in India. Its primary objective is to provide highly subsidized food grains to the poorest of the poor households. Under the AAY, eligible households are identified and provided with a specified quantity of food grains at a significantly lower price compared to the open market rates.

The beneficiaries of the AAY are typically identified based on specific criteria such as their socio-economic status, occupation, and household income.
Hello,
1. Both ICSE and CBSE are recognized boards in India, and they provide a strong foundation for NEET preparation. The choice between the two depends on your personal preference and the teaching methodology that suits you best. It is important to focus on the NEET syllabus and prepare well, regardless of the board you come from.
2. After NEET, you can pursue a career in medicine by getting admission to a medical college based on your NEET score. You will need to go through the counseling process and secure a seat in a medical college. Once you complete your MBBS, you can specialize in a specific field through postgraduate courses and pursue a career as a doctor.
3. NEET scores are generally not accepted abroad for studying medicine. If you are interested in studying medicine abroad, you'll need to appear for entrance exams specific to the country or university you wish to apply to. Each country has its own admission process, requirements, and exams. It is important to research the specific country and university you are interested in and understand their application procedures. You may also need to fulfill additional criteria like language proficiency tests and visa requirements.
Hope this helps you,
Thank you
