Karnataka state NEET ug 2020 state quota cuttoff expected

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 2nd Aug, 2020
Hi

You have not mentioned the category you belong to so I am  assuming  you from general category if you belong to any other category then do let me know in comment

In neet 2019,  423 marks was the lowest marks that was required for general category for getting a government quota mbbs seat in  Karnataka under state quota and it was for K.Venkataramana Gowda Medical College and Hospital, Dakshina Kannada

You can check the Same at

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-karnataka

But cut off marks  keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.

So , you should try to get at least around 500 marks to be on the safer side in your neet  examination

Thankyou

there will be any postponement NEET ug 2020 exam due to corona .? exam will be on 26 july? ?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 23rd Jun, 2020

Harsha, At this point in time, nothing is clear. CBSE is supposed to give a statement to the Supreme Court as on June 23rd regarding either postponement or cancellation of its board exams. And NTA will also have to consider many other factors before postponing NEET. The MHRD did announce that there might be an official statement regarding a fresh schedule for NEET, JEE and UGC-NET on June 22nd but nothing has happened. So there might be a change in the schedule of the exam. We do not have clear information as such as of now. There might be an official statement today on June 23rd. So please wait to hear from MHRD regarding this

sir i have completed my bsc nursing in 2015 but I havent satisfied for that so Ill trying neet ug 2020 for take admission in mbbs. but i have lots of doubts in mind.. at the age of 27 admission in medical college.. is it good or not... please give me suggestions...

Hey seeker,
It's amazing that you have the guts to accept the dissatisfaction after graduation and in late 20s.
Kudos to that! Usually people accept no matter how sad or miserable it makes them.
Coming to your pursue of MBBS.
I shall be very practical and logical with my pros and cons with this plan.
Pros:
1.Becoming a doctor is a dream. And you only live once. And at the end of life, more than doing you will regret not doing things.
2. The profession you seek is worshipped. And respect comes automatically with it.
3. It's a financially promising job.
4. Many students repeat, take drops to enter into this course.  It's a life long process. Age hardly matters here.
Cons:
1. Getting a good score in NEET and landing a medical seat is no cakewalk. Entering a medical college is just the beginning. The course, further studies and the physical mental aspect of the job as a doctor is more challenging. The challenges increase with time. A steady head and a hardworking attitude shall sail you through.
2. Age can be a issue. It's very subjective. But at 27 you will be surrounded by majority of younger people. It depends on your mindset at the end.
3. Finance associated with medical studies is no joke. The burden is high. Depends on your socioeconomic background and the life you want to set up for yourself. Good family and financial support shall help you sail through this part.
4. Satisfaction even after a MBBS degree is not guaranteed. Satisfaction is subjective and tends to change with time.
At the end it's your call. The heart wants what it wants. Getting into a medical college is a dream come true indeed.
But is not the end of the world. And you can do anything else and still be in a better place.
No-one can see the future.
You can only try to build one.
All the best.
Hope this helps with your query
Hope you achieve what you seek.

what is the minimum marks to be scored by an SC category student in NEET ug 2020 to get MYSORE MEDICAL COLLEGE..?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 26th Jul, 2020

In 2019, under State Quota, 436 marks secured a seat in Mysore Medical College under SC Category. That was the cut off. Now this is 2019 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. For a seat in this College, you need to score more than 500.  And if you are preparing for NEET, you may as well try our NEET Knockout package: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-neet-may/ . And because you have 2 more months to prepare for NEET, you may as well use this opportunity.

Hi,I would like to know if I do need to sit for upcoming KEAM exam 2020 if i opted for medical course only?.I have also applied for both KEAM and NEET UG 2020.As far I know i have to sit for the neet exam but not for keam. Thanks

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 14th Jul, 2020
Hello,

For medical courses, you don't have to appear in KEAM examination. You will have to appear in NEET UG examination and your score will be considered for selection through keam.Keam doesn't conducts exam for medical courses, it offers admission based on scorecard of NEET UG. Keam is conducted for admissionin Engineering and Architecture courses.

I hope this helps.

How many marks are required to get free in BAMS government clg.. *for an ews (oc)student* in neet ug 2020?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 23rd May, 2020
It depends on the State you belong to. Different States have different cut offs and cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. But in general, if you belong to EWS Category, you will atleast need 550 and above even with EWS reservation.

Did anybody register for NEET UG 2020 twice? I need to apply for it but the registrations are over, but I can login using already filled form and make corrections.

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 15th May, 2020

NTA did mention that only those Candidates who have registered can make corrections to their application forms. NTA also did mention that it is one application per candidate ruling out double registrations. So you can use your login credentials and make changes to your already filled application including the Exam city. You have time until May 31st. Also make sure you take a print out of the confirmation page.

Minimum cut off for a OBC candidate in neet ug 2020, ALL INDIA QUOTA of:~ 1.MAMC 2.VMMC 3.KGMU 4.IMS BHU 5.UCMS As NEET and AIIMS combined is there a chance of less Cut off as compared to previous year?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 24th Jun, 2020

In 2019, under All India Quota, the cut off ranks and marks for the Colleges that you requested for under OBC Category have been as follows:

MAMC: 148

VMMC:357

UCMS:374

KGMU: 557-613 (Score)

IP BHU:1097

Except for KGMU, the rest of them are the ranks. So to roughly translate them for a seat in any of these Colleges, you need more than 650 even with OBC reservation. This is because cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. Merging of AIIMS and JIPMER with NEET doesn't lower the cut offs. If both these colleges bring a total of 1700 seats, there are atleast 2 lakhs more students who appear for NEET every year.

To help you with your NEET preparation, we have NEET Knockout packages that you can check at: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-neet-may/. To help you during admission and counselling, we have https://dqxeclau.top/mbbs-companion.

based on my reservation in neet UG 2020 I got 500 mark out of 720 what will be my all India rank and state rank ?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 21st Jun, 2020

You haven't mentioned the Category you belong to. This is important because the rank in the merit list is based on your NEET score and the Category you belong to. And each Category has different cut offs. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. So please do help us with your Category and the State you belong to.
