i have applied for Neet ug 2021 under obc ncl. but now i verified with the tahsildhar that i belong to creamy layer. i am very worried and tensed. i have written email to nta, but they havent replied. while uploading documents in phase 2 can i change my category? or what will happen? kindly help me

rajeevanand843 25th Aug, 2021

Dear aspirant

You don't need to worry about that. As you are not from non-creamy layer of obc so you will not get reservation. Besides this your caste fall's in the OBC category itself so according to that your category will be the same. If you don't able to produce OBC-NCl certificate you will not able to get reservation that's all otherwise you will be allocated seat on basis of general merit.

You can change that category during the counselling registration. It's upon you whether you want to take admission on general merit or reserved category. If you go for reserved category seat you will have to produce the necessary caste certificate that's all.

So don't worry about this things and continue your study and try to score good marks so you can get seat through general merit.

You can take help of our neet test series also it's very helpful. As you are in last few days of preparation you should practice as much you can

hi. Ive applied for neet ug 2021 in the category ive chosen general but i belong to general ews & have certificate too even during correction general ews was not visible i mailed to nta regarding this but no response my query is in pending. What can i do? i had chance to get seat in ews quota

Manisha nayak 25th Aug, 2021

Hello student,

Hope you are in good health, sorry to say but you have done a very big mistake by not adding EWS category before the last date of correction window , if you did'nt saw the EWS category at the time of correction you should then only try to contact the NTA but now its too late as during counselling they will surely check your application form , so if in application form there is no mention of EWS category then you are not allowed to participate in couselling through ews quota.

As NEET is soon to be happen so please practice the NEET mock test paper

Sir plz tell me i am above 25 years and also a part of neet ug 2021 but am Little bit confused in phase2 because am in general catagory . i am worried according to upper age limit nta can removed my neet UG 2021 result? because i havent a any certificate of reservation.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 3rd Oct, 2021

Hi

You don't need to worry at all dear for your neet 2021 results or anything even if you are 25 year old or more.

This is because,

As of now there's no upper age limit for neet .

For your reference

Here's the eligibility criteria for NEET :-

-----------) Qualification required :-As per Neet eligibility to be eligible you must be either appearing for 12th board examination  or should have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English as core subject.

†††Important Note :- Students with Biology as an additional subject are also provisionally eligible for neet until Supreme Court gives its judgement over it.

-----------)  Percentage required :- You must get

  • at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology in 12th examination if belongs to general category

  • at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to st/Obc/ Sc

  • at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.

-----------)  Age limit :-

  • Lower age limit:- to be eligible for neet  one has to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December in the year of appearing for the examination .

  • Upper age limit :-The upper age limit  is 25 years as on the date of neet examination and there's relaxation of 5 years for obc ncl/SC/ST /PwBD students means upper age limit is 30 years for these categories.

†††† But since 2018, the case of upper age limit is pending in supreme court , and so there's no upper age limit as of now until supreme court gives its judgement over it.

-----------) There's no attempt limit for neet.

41 Views my score in NEET ug 2021 is 570...Im from west Bengal UR category student...in 2020 state cut off of WB was 568...so can I get a govn mbbs clg in this year..as it is expected to decrease in cut off.

Kuheli Sanyal 3rd Oct, 2021

Hey,

Based on previous year data, with 570 marks you may get a rank between 36751-42759. You can also predict your rank by using NEET Rank Predictor https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-rank-predictor?utm_source=qna&utm_medium=neet_rp

According to the previous year cut off ranks, you have decent chances of getting the following colleges through West Bengal State Counselling -

  • KPC Medical College and Hospital, Jadavpur ( state quota seat )
  • Jagannath Gupta Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital ( state quota seat )
  • IQ City Medical College ( state quota seat )
  • Maharaja Jitendra Narayan Medical College and Hospital, Coochbehar ( GMC )
  • Shri Ramakrishna Institute of Medical Sciences and Sanaka Hospitals ( state quota seat )

Keep in mind that cut offs and ranks are subject to change every year depending on the difficulty level of the paper, the performance of the students and the number of seats available. Nothing fixed can be said until you get your final rank through NEET Result 2021. For example, in 2019 with 570 marks the rank was 16173. While in 2020, the ranks inflated up to 42759 around similar marks.

If you want a list of colleges in which you may have a chance of getting MBBS/BDS seat, you can use NEET College Predictor https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?utm_source=qna&utm_medium=neet_cp

rajeevanand843 3rd Oct, 2021

Hello aspirant

Neet2020 cutoff marks for SC category candidate in Maharashtra state counselling was 477 marks and Air 106288 in GMC,NANDURBAR.

While for 2019 it was 423 marks.

Im scoring 542 in neet ug 2021 and belongs to gen candidate and from odisha state.... can i get govt medical clg in this mark range???

rajeevanand843 2nd Oct, 2021

Hello aspirant

As results are yet to be declared and ranks are hard to predict at your expected marks. So telling you will get college or not is quite difficult.

Cut off marks changes every year based on questions paper difficulty level, student qualified, seat availability etc.

Last year Lowest cut off marks for Gen category in Odisha state counselling was 591 marks and Air 24031.

This year cut off marks may decrease by some marks due to questions paper difficulty level. Then also there is large margin between last year cut off and your expected marks. So if ranks improve so much then only you will have chance.

You can use our college predictor tool for knowing personalized results of getting mbbs BDS college at your expected marks
