Chandigarh university is known for best placements, with maximum package of 36LPA.Moreover, CU got 52 rank as university and 61 rank in engineering .CU is good option.The University has been accredited with the prestigious A+ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Chandigarh University has become Youngest and the only private university in India to bag an A+ grade in the first cycle of the accreditation process and has also become the only state private university of Punjab to be accredited by NAAC.

Hi Richa, both are good universities. Well, B Tech CSE is almost synonymous to LPU. The B Tech CSE program at LPU has been crafted to meet the global industrial needs. Good faculty, international course content and state-of-the-art facilities have left many reputed institutions behind. The B Tech CSE program primarily deals with the development as well as designing of computer software and hardware processes with a strong focus on courses related to algorithms, computation, programming languages,  design, computer hardware, computer software, databases, operating systems, computer networking, etc. that is needed to build and solve problems using computers. The curriculum taught here is of international standard.

LPU always designed the innovative pedagogy of the courses based on Industry standards only. Based on the same students are getting Industry ready from Day one. Recently, an LPU student Hare Krishna of BTech CSE got placed in Google with 64 LPA this year. The average salary was 6.2 lpa. What would you suggest Chandigarh University of LPU for prsuing Mechanical Engineering on the basis of NIRF 2021 ranking achieved by them?

Hi Priyanka, thanks for showing interest in LPU. Well, both are good universities. I am sue both are doing exceptionally well.

The LPU offers a B Tech in Mechanical Engineering which seamlessly articulates the concepts from basic science to technology with relevant practice through lab and projects for building the problem-solving skills, keeping industry requirements in place for Design, Manufacturing, Thermal, etc specialisation.

The Eligibility Criteria is (Qualifying Exam) Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics, and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST.

For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North-East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmiri Migrants)

The course aims at enabling the student to Effectively build and communicate the solutions using learnings from basic mechanical engineering, basic sciences, mathematics, and computational skills and tools. He should have the ability to design using Design of Machine Elements theories and to create prototypes using relevant manufacturing technology. He should acquire the Capability of building efficient energy conversion systems using a basic understanding of Thermodynamics, Heat transfer, and Fluid Mechanics.

He should demonstrate the ability to propose cost-effective optimised solutions using simulated environments of Computer-aided design, computer-aided manufacturing, and computer-aided engineering.

The highest salary package offered to mechanical branch students is 25 LPA, while the average salary is 5 LPA. hope you are doing well and safe. With reference to your query,  I would glad inform you that  chandigar university will be a better options . Chandigarh university holds 38 rank in nirf ranking 2021. Morever ,it has well organized infrastructure with all the latest equipments . Faculities are also very well experienced and helpful . Placement scenario is also very decent ,more than 70 percent students get placed every year with an average package of 8lakhs and highest went upto 35 lakhs

It is a great achievement for Chandigarh University, Chandigarh to earn 52th NIRF (National Institutional Ranking) Rank amongst the top universities in India and across the country. Chandigarh University is touching great heights by upgrading time to time.

NIRF Ranking is for continuous efforts to escalate the quality education to its students. So, that means Chandigarh University is continuously building new facilities, quality education for its students, which is all that matters for building career as the foundation has to be strong.

And the university is working on that itself that is maintaining foundation of its students by providing and improving its education and other facilities day by day.

The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) was approved by the MHRD

This framework outlines a methodology to rank institutions across the country. The methodology draws from the overall recommendations broad understanding arrived at by a Core Committee set up by MHRD, to identify the broad parameters for ranking various universities and institutions. The parameters broadly cover “Teaching, Learning and Resources,” “Research and Professional Practices,” “Graduation Outcomes,” “Outreach and Inclusivity,” and “Perception”.

Chandigarh University has been considered as the 1st best private university in Punjab with NAAC giving it an A+ and 4th best in North India. It is a good university for anyone to apply for a UG degree especially in the fields related to engineering, science and management.

The NIRF ranking of any college is based on a lot of parameters apart from the quality of studies and placement a college/university can provide. Chandigarh University  have been ranked 52nd in the University Rankings in India. We have also ranked 77th in Overall Institute Rankings, 61st in Engineering, 45th in Management, 51st in Pharmacy, and 16th in Architecture for the year 2021.
