hi aspirant,
Admissions through NEET are basically categorised in two types of quota i.e., All India Quota (AIQ) and State Level Quota. All India Quota comprises 15 per cent of the overall seats and the rest of the 85 per cent are filled under state-level quota.
NRI quota in MBBS is the reserved seats for Non Resident Indian students in medical colleges. JIPMER Puducherry and some government/ private medical colleges have NRI quota in MBBS.
There is an NRI quota in JIPMER. Out of 150 MBBS seats in JIPMER, 5 seats are reserved exclusively for NRI/ OCI candidates under self financing scheme with total fee of US $75,000/- payable in one installment
Private Medical Colleges dont participate in All India Counselling. For a seat in a Government Medical College of another State, you should try under All India Counselling. But for a seat in Private Medical College under Management Quota, you should participate in counselling of the State you are interested in for studying MBBS. So for example, if you want to study in Tamilnadu Private Medical College under Management Quota, you should participate in Tamilnadu's Management Quota Counselling conducted by State authorities. These are called B Category seats. So once NEET results are announced, you should register separately for the States you want to try for a seat in. The registrations will be open probably in the month of October. You should keep checking the news regularly for this.
