Rituparna Priyadarshini 17th Oct, 2021

Hello.

There are as many as 5 private colleges in Gujarat that have NRI quotas. These five colleges are affiliated under the following colleges which shall award them their respective degrees:-

1) Saurashtra University

2) Gujarat University

3) KSKV kachch University,Bhuj

4) Parul University, Vadodara

5) Sardar Patel University

However one has to fit into the eligibility criteria for NRI quotas such as:-

1) one of the paresnts should be an NRI and must be residing there

2) The one sponsoring the student for NRI quota must be an abroad resident

for neet 2021 I am an Indian citizen and my real uncle is an OCI, Will I be considered in NRI quota, Can I participate in general quota as well as NRI quota both.

Pragya sarwaiya 25th Dec, 2021

Hi

An student is considered as an NRI who studied outside India, whose parents are NRIs, or he/she is NRI sponsored by anyone in blood relation (first degree).

So yes, if your blood related uncle is an OCI then you can mention yourself as an NRI in application form. No you can't choose both categories, you have to choose one category to proceed ahead in counseling.

My AIR in NEET UG 2021 is 572*** (5 Lakhs 72 Thousand ***). I am from Rajasthan Domicile. My Maternal Uncle (Mama Ji) is working in UAE for last 7 years. If he sponsors my admission, am I eligible for NRI quota to get admission in Govt. Colleges of Rajasthan or anywhere in India.?

Ritvik Baweja 12th Nov, 2021
No even if he sponsors for your education and you are able to claim your NRI quota then also chances of you getting a government medical college at your current rank are very very grim ,

I recommend you taking a drop year or trying changing lines towards BAMS or BHMS courses .

I also recommend you checking out our College Predictor based on NEET rank
