RRB is expected to release the 8th phase of the NTPC exam soon. Candidates can register themselves for the NTPC recruitment process by visiting the regional RRB websites before the last date for application submission. The application fee for general candidates is Rs 500 whereas for females & others it's Rs 250. The exact dates for the release of the application form is not yet declared. Keep an eye on the official website for the latest information. There is a delay due to the ongoing pandemic.

see ssc chsl or ntpc railway exam has no link with UPSSC PET exam. you may apply distinctly for ssc chsl or ntpc exam with out appearing in upsssc pet. however for each of the examination you have to follow the previous years questions structure and difficulty level. for ssc chsl, exam duration is one hour and has 100 mcq questions on quantitative, english, reasoning and GK. so by practicing you have to be quick at calculation answer most of the questions in due time.
NOW COMING to rrb ntpc, questions formed on general awareness, mathematics, general intelligence and reasoning of total of 100 marks.
do follow the previous years papers and standard book for section wise questions practice. you may follow rs agarwal for mathematics or quantitative and reasoning, bankers adda magazine or arihant book for gk.

see cutoff score changes for psus every year and it depends on some of the determining factors like number of applicants, students category, number of vacancy for particular stream etc. generally psus send call letter of 3-4 multiplication of candidates compare to vacancy. however your rank is good and you should apply for NTPC recruitment.

There is no height criteria to apply for NTPC.
Eligibility Criteria to apply in NTPC are:-
Age Limit: The age limit for undergraduate post is 18 to 30 years. The age limit for graduate post is 18 to 33 years.

You need to paste your colored photograph on your ntpc examination hall ticket before entering into the examination hall. The authorities will only check your hall ticket and will not tell you to paste your photograph in front of them. Along with your hall ticket you need to carry one valid photo ID proof for the verification purposes along with two passport size photographs.

There will not me a problem of of name defect during your counselling and registration process, as documents such as the Aadhar card, or birth certificate will clearly signify your father's name.
There are less chances that the officials will question upon your father details, and if they do you can provide them the documents with correct information.
