what is the rule for maternity leave for stuff nurse in private hospitals in west bengal? can I get maternity leave immediately after joining as a stuff nurse?

ayanmukherjee045 23rd Feb, 2022

Hello dipannita,

Yes, as per the rules and regulations of republic act no .11120( An act of increasing maternity leave to 105 days for female workers and additional 30 days extension without pay), you can ask for the leave in your hospital.

As this is a private hospital, you would be having some difficulties in having the leave so I would request you to discuss this issue with some of your senior colleagues and kindly ask them to guide you in this matter because they are the rightmost person to guide you in this.

For writing a maternity leave application kindly follow these steps:-

1- Use formal and professional language.

2- Go through the maternity leave guidelines.

3- Explain the leave days you are entitled to

4- The cause for the leave application.

5- State the day of leaving and resuming work.
