Aditi Choudhary 17th Jul, 2025

so you  scored 39 marks in the Nutrition and Biochemistry paper. According to MUHS rules, if the passing mark is 40, then you might be eligible for 1 grace mark under the “Class Ordinance” or grace rule, depending on the subject and total marks. But the final decision depends on the university's policy. It’s best to check with your college or MUHS office for confirmation.

Can you please tell me when admision open for nutrition and dietetics?

Nikita shahi 15th Jul, 2025
Hello,
So if you’re looking to get into a Nutrition and Dietetics course, most colleges begin the admission process once Class 12 board results are out, which is usually around May or June. Some universities start a bit earlier, while others go on accepting applications till August or even September, especially private ones. The admission depends on the type of colleges, some take CUET scores or conduct their own entrance tests, while others go with merit-based admissions based on your 12th marks.Government universities like DU, BHU, etc. usually release their forms around June, and their counseling can stretch into July or August. But private universities like Amity, or LPU might open their portals much earlier. They also keep it open longer in case there are vacant seats.
If you’re applying a bit late, but don’t stress, a lot of private colleges keep spot admissions or last-minute rounds, so you might still get a seat.
It's better to keep checking on college sites or even call the admission helpline, they usually give quick and detailed information.
Thank you!

If my sis is pursuing bsc nutrition and Dietetics what are the next opportunities what can she do further.

Nikita shahi 11th Jul, 2025

Hello,

It's a great field your sister has chosen. A degree in Nutrition and Dietetics opens up several growing career opportunities, especially in today's time as more people are becoming aware of health, fitness, and lifestyle management. When she completes her BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics, she can explore different career paths based on her interest, whether it's clinical work, public health, food industry roles, government jobs , sports-related, or academics. If she wants to explore and grow in her degree, she can go for a Master’s degree (MSc) in Nutrition and Dietetics. Many students prefer this route as it adds specialization and gives an amazing chance in job opportunities, whether in the government or the private sector. Many colleges also offer specialized MSc programs in Clinical Nutrition, Public Health Nutrition. If she wants to work in hospitals or with patients, she can become a clinical dietitian by registering with recognized bodies like the Indian Dietetic Association (IDA). Another option is to work as a nutrition consultant or freelance dietitian, especially if she has good communication skills. There are also some government job opportunities for graduates in this field like a Dietitian or Nutritionist in government hospitals, a Community Nutrition Officer in health departments, a Food Safety Officer, or even in roles under the National Health Mission (NHM) and public health projects

Many people also start their own Instagram pages or blogs to give diet tips and grow their personal brand. She can also explore roles in the food and beverage industry, like quality control, product development, or labeling compliance.
