First of all, you have to appear for GATE Exam and score the qualifying marks to clear it. After this, you can apply to an internship or job at ONGC. You will have to appear for the interview where you will be judged on the basis of your B.Tech percentage, the category you are applying in and your GATE score. So, yes you can apply.
Hii Hitarth,
you have done a great job and have come so far and yes you are eligible for gate according to their criteria.yes, according to your qualification you can be posted at offshore installation. there are 2 departments that welcome an electronics postgraduate. the platforms have both infocom and instrumentation department. at rigs, only intrumentation department is there. electronics graduates are also posted in instrumentaion section. the latest drilling rigs and platforms are microprocessor controlled and requires instrumentation and electronics engineers for maintenance. however, dedicated on-site posting of electronics engineers are still a handful .
feel free to ask further.
CHEERS!!
Hello,
Coming to your question there is a chance for getting a job in these 3 of the offices...
1. ONGC---there is good scope in it but its like allowed only up to staff level. The exam you need to clear is GATE and then followed by interview...
2. ISRO----- to get into isro you need to clear ICRB exam.
3. BARC----actually in this there are 2 ways firstly is that u can enter into by taking up research scholar exam which is a written exam that is conducted in February every year and the cutoff mark in this exam is 155/300
Second method is through GATE exam and it must be a merit list and the cutoff is 840/1000
Coming to pay scale it varies at different levels so we can't judge exactly
All the best........
Hi Arjit
Your question seems to be a little ambiguous. I cannot seem to understand what exactly you are trying to ask.
Is it about petroleum engineering that you enquiring, like the colleges providing the course? Or the job opportunities available after completing your degree in petroleum engineering?
Mention these details in the comments section below ,and I will try to help you out.
Hi Subhashree, thanks for asking your query.
Your chances of getting into ONGC are high. Looking at previous years cutoff, cutoff score was between 500 and 700 for geology and geophysicist. I am sharing the link below, you can go through it and find the cut offs in previous years to get a fair idea about their recruitment:

Yes you can get a job in Indian oil companies and ONGC. It depends on the vacancy for the position in different locations.
However, there are other jobs in the pharmaceutical, chemical companies and laboratories. Research is always the best option, if you want to flourish in this field.
the cutoff for JSS academy of technical education is :- 3134 for general technology. for OBC girl category the range is 5145-8176. if you are having the rank in the range then you can apply for it. It is a good college with good rating. Placement is also good which has 8/10 in rating and good reviews too.
All the best!
