I have more than 6 years of work experience in Sales and Marketing and wanted a 1 year executive mba program. I am looking for options and guidance

Yash 27th Sep, 2024

Hi!

Executive MBA (EMBA) is generally a one-year programme pursued by working professionals who have a work experience of more than 5 years (duration of work experience may vary depending upon the college offering the programme). As you have stated that you have 6 years of experience in the field of Sales and Marketing, executive MBA is a best option for you.

However, you must meet the minimum eligibility requirement as stated by the college such as you must at least have a Bachelor's degree , minimum work experience , and a valid entrance test score . Most of the colleges such as IIMs accept the GMAT/ GRE scores. However, some of the colleges do not accept any entrance exam scores and give admission based on Personal Interview. You are required to check the official website of the respective colleges for the detailed admission process. Given below is the list of some of the top colleges offering the Executive MBA programme:

Please tell me What is difference between MBA self financed or MBA executive

Tanya Gupta 26th Feb, 2024

Hello,

MBA self-financed programs are typically for recent graduates or early-career professionals seeking a full-time MBA, while MBA executive programs cater to mid-career professionals with managerial experience. Self-financed MBAs often have a traditional academic structure with regular classes, while executive MBAs offer part-time or modular formats to accommodate work schedules. Additionally, self-financed MBAs aim to provide a comprehensive understanding of business principles, while executive MBAs focus on enhancing leadership and managerial capabilities through practical, real-world applications.

Thank you

how to manage semester study and mba cet preperation?

Rajeswari Dey 22nd Mar, 2025

Hello candidate,

Maintaining a healthy balance between the two is crucial for studying for both the MBA CET and the semester studies. I would advise you to create a timetable and provide enough time for both your CET preparation and your semester studies. On the other hand, you can devote 1-2 hours to CET preparation and concentrate more on your semester examinations if your semester is almost up. Achieving a high score requires both intelligence and hard work.  Best wishes!

How is galgotias university for mba program ? Is gu provide industrial visits , presentation on regular basis, preparation for personality development like communication/gdpi and many more

Rajeswari Dey 26th Mar, 2025

Hi aspirant,

Galgotias University's School of Business appears to be an acceptable choice for earning an MBA.  It is a relatively new university that provides a variety of MBA programs, including general MBAs and specialist MBAs in fields such as financial management, digital marketing, tourism and travel management, and dual specialization MBAs.  Galgotias University has a decent placement record, with a significant number of students being placed annually.
The program is intended to prepare students for real-world issues, with teachers emphasizing industry-specific instruction and assigning projects and scenarios. The program is tailored to the needs of the contemporary employment market. There is a concentration on using modern tools and techniques. However, Some students believe that the course is deficient in real-world knowledge, and that extracurricular activities or self-study may be required to augment theoretical learning.

All the best!

is there a aptitude test for MBA student also for admission

Tanya Gupta 25th Feb, 2024

Hello,

Yes, many MBA programs require applicants to take an aptitude test as part of the admissions process. The most commonly used aptitude tests for MBA admissions are the GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) and the GRE (Graduate Record Examination). These tests assess skills in areas such as quantitative reasoning, verbal reasoning, analytical writing, and critical thinking, which are important for success in MBA programs. Some business schools may also accept other aptitude tests or may have their own specific entrance exams.

Hope this helps,

Thank you

Abhinav Singh 24th Feb, 2024

Hello Aspirant

Many individuals pursue an MBA to transition from their current field of work. Opting for an MBA after BAMS is a viable choice, especially considering the diverse career opportunities it can open up. Several medical and pharmaceutical companies actively recruit MBA graduates with prior medical background, ensuring good placement prospects.
