My first recommendation would be Petroleum Engineering since it is the core branch of UPES and hence all the facilities and all things are to be provided by the institute in an excellent manner to petroleum students than to any other branch. My second recommendation would be Computer Science with specialization in Cyber Security since there is a lot of future scopes in computer science. see jawharlal nehru engineering college offers 4 years b.tech course in chemical engineering, the total seat intake in 30, some there is no specialization course in chemical engineering. however at the time of final year you may have to take optional subjects which is available in your college. so after studying the 3 years you will come across the concept of different topics related with dyestuff or polyester or petroleum or surface coating and able to select the topic as per your interest.

You did not mention which exam you wrote and you fetched 89 percentile.however assuming that it is jeemains 89 percentile would fetch you a rank around 112530-126500.As of now its tough to say because the analysis and also cutoffs change every year due to many factors like total students appearing for exam,difficulty level of paper etc.as you did not mention your category considering you from general category,based on your rank you have tough to no chances to fetch seat in nits,iiits.you need better percentile of 98+  to fetch seat in top nits,iiits.you can try in private engineering colleges using your jee percentile.workhard for the upcoming jeemain sessions..you can get closing rank for josaa official website: https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
