Age limit for studying in diploma in pharmacy

Samriddha Pal 28th May, 2025

Hello,

The minimum age limit is 17 years as on 31st December of the year of admission. There is typically no upper age limit for pursuing D.Pharm in most states and colleges. However, individual institutes or state boards may have specific rules, so it's good to check with the respective college or admission authority.

Hope this helps. All the best!

Please provide me that I have to do reappear for neet by taking partial drope or try in pharmacy or other

Prachi Kumari 31st May, 2025

Hello,

If your NEET score is not enough for an MBBS or BDS seat, you have two main options:

  1. Take a partial drop and reappear for NEET
    – If you are confident that you can improve your score, then you can prepare again while maybe joining some short-term course or online classes.
    – This way, you won’t waste the whole year and can still focus on NEET.

  2. Go for Pharmacy or other medical-related courses
    – If you don’t want to take a risk or wait another year, you can join courses like B.Pharm, B.Sc. Nursing, BPT, etc.
    – These also have good career scope, but they are different from MBBS.

What to do?
– If your aim is only MBBS and you believe you can do better, go for a partial drop.
– But if you’re okay with other options and want to start your studies now, then pharmacy or other courses are fine.

It depends on your confidence, interest, and how much you are ready to wait.

Hope it helps !

what is the process of admission in pharmacy colleges in hyderabad through management quota which colleges take admission through management quota and their procedure

Shivani Chaurasia 3rd Sep, 2025

Hi Syed

In Hyderabad private private universities follow the 70:30 admission rule where 70% of seats are filled through state counselling ( TS-EAMCET ) and the remaining 30% come under management quota (category b).

For applying through category b, you need to regularly check the official website of the colleges release separate notifications once convener admissions close. Each college puts up it's own application form or notice which has dates and all the eligibility guidelines.

The process generally involves:

1. Filing out the management quota application

2. Submitting 10 + 2 mark sheets and rank card if applicable along with id and photos.

3. You will be offered admission either on a First come First serve basis or by merit within the category b.

4. If you are selected you will have to report to the college for document verification and fee payment as the college notified schedule.

5. After this your sheet will be officially confirmed.

Hyderabad pharmacy colleges which provide management quota ( category b seats) are as follows:

  1. G. pulla Reddy College of pharmacy
  2. Deccan School of pharmacy
  3. Malla Reddy college of pharmacy
  4. Sultan ul uloom College of pharmacy
  5. Shadan College of pharmacy
  6. Gokaraju Ranga Raju College of pharmacy

Thankyou!

my kcet ranking is 78000 can i get free seat under sc quota for B pharmacy

kumardurgesh1802 26th May, 2025

Hello Shreyas,

With a KCET rank of 78,000 under the SC category, getting a free seat for B.Pharmacy is unlikely in top government colleges in Karnataka, as their cutoff ranks for SC category are usually much lower (better rank).

Key points:

  • Government colleges generally have closing ranks for SC category well below 20,000 for B.Pharmacy seats.

  • With a rank of 78,000, chances of free government seats are very low.

  • You may get admission in private colleges or aided colleges where fees may be higher.

  • Some private colleges also offer scholarships or fee concessions for reserved categories, which you can explore.

  • It is advisable to check the official KCET counseling seat matrix and cutoff details for the current year during counseling.

In summary, with a rank of 78,000 under SC, free government seats in B.Pharmacy are unlikely. Consider private colleges or other options with financial support.

I would recommend you to use KCET College Predictor Tool by Careers360 to get the list of possible colleges you can get with your rank.

i got a rank of 15835 in eapcet agriculture and pharmacy so can i expect of getting free seat in any minority clgs in Hyderabad?? for b pharm

kumardurgesh1802 26th May, 2025

Hello there,

With an EAPCET rank of 15,835 in Agriculture and Pharmacy, getting a free (fully waived) seat in minority colleges in Hyderabad for B.Pharm is difficult but some options may be available with low fees or scholarships.

  • Minority colleges sometimes offer scholarships or fee concessions based on merit or category.

  • Complete fee waiver seats are rare and highly competitive.

  • You should apply to minority colleges participating in EAPCET counselling and inquire about scholarship options.

  • Also check if you qualify for any government or private scholarships to reduce your fees.

  • Keep backup options open in private colleges with reasonable fees or through management quota if applicable.

Actively participate in counselling, apply for scholarships, and contact colleges directly for fee concession details.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.

for 34k rank in which college do i get seat in pharmacy D

Nikita shahi 3rd Aug, 2025

Hello,

With a 34,000 rank , your chances of getting into Pharm.D will mostly depend on:your category/reservation (General, OBC, SC/ST),your local region and seat availability in that counselling phase

You can use this tool to predict your college: https://pharmacy.careers360.com/college-predictor

I’d suggest you participate actively in counselling, don’t miss any rounds, and also keep backup options like B.Pharm if you want to stay in the pharma field.

Hope you get a good college! Thanks for your question and best wishes
