I got 3745 rank in GPAT and I belong to svu region..Is there any chance to get a seat in Andhra University, Visakhapatnam M.Pharmacy

Jefferson 17th Sep, 2024

Hi there! Thanks for reaching out to us at Careers360. I'll do my best to help you out.

Wow, a 3745 rank in GPAT is pretty impressive - congrats on that! As for your chances at Andhra University in Visakhapatnam for M.Pharmacy, that's an interesting question.

Given that you're from the SVU region and have a solid GPAT rank, I'd say you've got a decent shot. But you know how these things can be - it really depends on the competition this year and the number of seats available.

Have you checked out Andhra University's website or contacted their admissions office? They might have more specific info on cut-offs from previous years, which could give you a better idea.

If you'd like, I can try to dig up some more details about their M.Pharmacy program and admission process. Just let me know if that would be helpful. And hey, don't stress too much - with that GPAT rank, I'm sure you'll land a good spot somewhere!

Is there anything else you'd like to know about Andhra University or other M.Pharmacy options in the region?

I got 32 rank in AP PGECET 2024 and I belong to SVU region..can I get a seat in M.Pharmacy ,Pharmaceutics Specialization in Andhra University, Visakhapatnam as the University is of AU region and I belong to SVU region..so will the region be a problem ??is there any chances to get a seat??

Juee Hote 14th Sep, 2024

Area Quotas (AU vs. SVU): Andhra Pradesh is split into the AU area (Andhra University) and the SVU region (Sri Venkateswara University) primarily for educational purposes. A specific proportion of seats are set aside for students from nearby regions (Andhra University's AU region) and a lesser proportion for students from other regions (SVU region in your case).

Considering Non-Local Candidates: If you apply to an AU region university as a candidate from the SVU region, you will be subject to the non-local quota.Approximately 15% of all seats in each program are typically set aside for candidates who are not local. Even below this quota, you have a good chance because to your outstanding rank of 32.

Pay attention to the official counselling alerts and make sure you complete out the choices.

To improve your chances, think about applying to many universities as a backup plan.

Due to the non-local seat quota, the region shouldn't be a big problem, and you're in a good position with your rank.

Wishing you luck!

AP PGECET M.Pharmacy Previous year cutoff ranks for Andhra university, Visakhapatnam for SVU region

monag2673 13th Sep, 2024

Unfortunately, the official AP PGECET authorities haven't released the 2024 cut-off ranks yet. However, we can look at previous years' trends for Andhra University, Visakhapatnam (SVU region) for M.Pharmacy:

Important Note: Cut-off ranks can fluctuate slightly each year depending on factors like the number of applicants, difficulty level of the exam, and available seats.

Here's a general idea based on past trends (specific ranks may vary):

  • General Category (OC): Expect a rank within the top 200-300 for a good chance of securing a seat.
  • Other Backward Classes (BC): Ranks between 300-500 might be sufficient.
  • Scheduled Castes (SC) & Scheduled Tribes (ST): Ranks exceeding 500 could be enough, depending on the specialization.

Recommendations:

  • Check the official AP PGECET website for confirmed cut-off ranks once they're released (usually after the counselling process begins).
  • Look for previous year's cut-off data from reliable sources like Careers360 or Shiksha for a more detailed picture.

Remember: These are just estimations. Aim for the highest rank possible to increase your chances of admission.

monag2673 13th Sep, 2024

The availability of colleges offering BSc Nursing, B Pharmacy, and D Pharmacy for BIPC students with a rank of 50665 depends on various factors, including the specific state or region you're considering, the number of seats available in each college, and the competition among other applicants.

However, based on general trends, you might be able to find colleges in the following categories:

  • Government colleges: These colleges often have lower cutoffs compared to private institutions, so you may have a better chance of securing admission.
  • Private colleges: While they might have higher cutoffs, you can explore options in smaller towns or less popular regions where competition might be lower.
  • Self-financing colleges: These colleges usually have their own admission criteria and might accept students with lower ranks.

To find out the specific colleges available to you:

  1. Check the official website of the state or regional counseling authority: They will publish the list of colleges and their respective cut-offs.
  2. Consult with educational counselors: They can provide personalized guidance based on your rank and preferences.
  3. Explore online platforms: Websites like Careers360 or Shiksha often have information about colleges and their admission processes.
