An elastic spring of force constant K is compressed by an amount x. Show that is potential energy is 1/2 Kx 34. State Pascals law . Explain the working of hydraulic lift on the basis of Pascals law. 35. Define SHM. Also derive the differential equation of SHM.

Vibhanshu 29th Mar, 2021

34. Hydraulic lift works on the principle of Pascal's law which states that if any force is applied to any point of a confined fluid, then the pressure is equally and undiminished transmitted through out the liquid.

35. Simple Harmonic Motion or SHM is defined as a motion in which the restoring force is directly proportional to the displacement of the body from its mean position. ... The acceleration of a particle executing simple harmonic motion is given by, a(t) = -ω 2 x(t). Here, ω is the angular velocity of the particle.

1. Identify conservative and nonconservative forces given below and write one main difference between them on the basis of work done. 2.Frictional force, electrostatic force ,gravitational force and viscous force

Ujjwal Kumawat 28th Mar, 2021

A conservative force is one for which the work done is independent of path. Equivalently, a force is conservative if the work done over any closed path is zero. A non - conservative force is one for which the work done depends on the path

Gravitational force/ electrostatic force =If the work done by a force depends only on initial and final positions, not on the path between them, the force is called a conservative force that why gravitational force is conservative force in electrostatic force there is movementsof charge (electon).

friction force/viscous force =these type force resist path of motion and in viscous there is movement of liquid

The time period of a vibrating source producing sound is 0.01 s. If the velocity of the sound is 340 m/s. Calculate the wavelength. 31.Derive an expression for optimum velocity of a car on a circular level road.

Ujjwal Kumawat 29th Mar, 2021

Wavelength = velocity/frequency of time .....(1)

Here we know that

frequency =1/T

By putting value in equation (1) or formula

340×0.01=3.4 ans

I am sorry but am not able to explain derivation  because it needs diagram and without you can't understand it but if you wanted tell me i will try

By the way you can use career 360 sites question papers

I hope it will help you

Thank you

A body of mass 1kg is made to oscillate on a spring of force constant k=4Nm . Deduce an angular frequency,. 29. Define (1) matter waves (ii) electromagnetic waves and (iii)mechanical waves.

Abhishek Roy 29th Mar, 2021

I remember Omega(w)Angular Frequency for this single block system is (k/m)^0.5. Hence you get the Solution as 2(Angular Frequency).

As far as the Second part of your Question is concerned, please refer any Standard Physics Textbook, you will get the details. Its is one of the most fundamental aspects of Physics.

A hydraulic automobile lift is designed to lift cars with a maximum mass of 3000 kg the area of cross section of the piston carrying the load is 425 cm. What maximum pressure would the smaller piston have to bear. 27. State and explain equation of continuity.

Ayush 31st Mar, 2021

Hello candidate,

The equation of continuity suggests that any liquid flowing in a medium if it is incompressible and has a continuous inform velocity while flowing, then the volumetric flow rate at two points in the motion is constant.

The Mass is of 3000 kg, and the force needed to lift it is equal to 3000*9.8= 29400 Newton.

Hope this information was helpful for you!!

Good luck.

State Keplers laws of planetary motion. 25. Explain why are girders given I shape.

Ujjwal Kumawat 28th Mar, 2021

Dear Aspirant

Kepler's three laws of planetary motion can be stated as follows:

1) All planets move about the Sun in elliptical orbits, having the Sun as one of the foci.

2) A radius vector joining any planet to the Sun sweeps out equal areas in equal lengths of time.

3)the square of a planet’s orbital period is proportional to the cube of the semi-major axis of its orbit.

And

girder shape is done when a beams have very high moment of inertia for the same volume of the given material. ... The two horizontal parts (called flanges) of the I beam can bear high bending and shearing stress. That means they do not get twisted and tilted easily. That is why they are used in girders

Thank you

Explain the terms work and power . How will you evaluate the work done by a variable force? 22. State the law of conservation of energy .Illustrate this law in the case of a freely falling body.

ayanmukherjee045 29th Mar, 2021

Dear aspirant,

Work is the energy transferred from the object via the application of force along the displacement.

Power is basically the amount of energy transferred per unit time.

Work done by a variable force is the integral of F.dx where F is the force and dx is the displacement.

Assertion (A): Newtons third law is the real law of motion. Reason (R): The first and the second law are contained in the 3rd law.

Subhrajit Mukherjee 29th Mar, 2021

Newtons second law is said to be the real law of motion since its generates the Equation of Motion of any particle and is quite appreciably the only law which can govern all the physics. From the first and second law we get the 3rd Law.

So the reason can be correct as we get from 1st and 2nd law but the assertion is wrong.

I hope this answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!

Assertion (A):work done by or against the force of friction in a round trip is not zero. Reason (R): The force of friction is a non conservative force.

shelly 28th Mar, 2021

Dear Student,

This is just simple theoretical concept based question that you are asking here. You have to find a solution in book and have to prove this assertion as true or false. You will be able to find the solution in your book. Please do your assignment by yourself.

Thanks

Assertion(A): For a system of particles under Central force field, the total angular momentum is conserved. Reason (R): The torque acting on such a system is zero.

shelly 28th Mar, 2021

Dear Student,

This type of question is just simple theoretical concept based you should study from books and read them because you will be here find the solution but you will not able to  remember it.This assertion is true and you need to prove it.
