which is best ? Physiotherapy or pharmacy? which one of these has scope in future? How much salary would I get in pharmacy?how much salary would I get in physiotherapy?

Mayank Chowdhary 24th Jun, 2020

Hello Student,

It depends on the choice and interest of the individual. But keeping into account Pharmacy will have more scope compared to Physiotherapy. Medicines now a days are changing at a rapid speed. Pharmaceuticals companies are been set uo much easily. Also considering this Pandemic situation there is more need forrevolutionary medicines.

So if you have interest and knowledge then do go for Pharmacy. But yes both fields are good and you should make choices based on your interest.

I will mention some job scope in pharmacy -

1.) Hospital Pharmacist

2.) Community pharmacist

3.) Professor

4.) Pharmaceutical company

5.) R & D sector

6.) Education in Abroad

7.) Pharmacy assitant

Salary depends on your job field, experience, location and other qualifications. But one can draw around 15,000 -20,000 monthly.

after completion of BPT, can I go to army as a physiotherapist and treat them ( soldiers) ??

S. Saha Student Expert 6th Jun, 2020
As of now, Indian Army doesn't have medical entry or any post of Physiotherapist like Doctors and Nurses. You have to write exams based on which you'll be recruited as staff of Army Hospitals. But there are army hospitals, where Physiotherapists are hired on a contractual basis. For that, you need to appear for exams like UPSC, CDSE, CAPF (For Para-military forces) etc.

salary of critical care, physiotherapist and occupational therapy

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 31st May, 2020

Any profession pays you lesser when you start as a fresher. And as your work experience increases, your pay check also gets better and it also depends on where you work. For example, working in a Super speciality or a Multi Speciality pays you more than working in a clinic. But in general, more or less, these 3 professions pay the same package for freshers. It is usually 15-20k for freshers a month and as the experience increases the pay also increases. On an average with 2-3 years of experience, critical care salary is 3,50,000Rs per annum which is approximately 25,000-28,000 Rs per month. It is more or less the same for PTs and OTs too. It might be around 4,00,000Rs per annum.

Indian Army doesn't have the post of a Physiotherapist per se, There are Army Hospitals which the Defense personnel get treated. These hospitals do have the required staff based on their recruitment process. You have to appear for exams like CDSE, CAPF or UPSC. As of now there is no medical entry for Physiotherapy. But they do hire Physiotherapists on a contractual basis and for that you need to appear for CDSE, CAPF or UPSC.
