which one Is better optional sociology or political science and international relations in UPSC having same interest in both which one is more scoring if we want to do graduation in any one of them

rajaman9300 Student Expert 10th Jun, 2020

From the UPSC civil Services examination point of view  i would suggest you to choose Sociology. It is because the syllabus generally doesn't change much and it is not that conceptual subject too. I am not saying that it is a cake walk but as compare to International Relations it can be easy.

You can consider Anthropology too. You can have a look at this subject if you have time.

All the best !!

i have completed B.tech in mechanical branch in 2018 and now i want to pursue masters in political science and international relations. can i apply for the course in JNU or is there any problem if i have my previous degree in technical field , please tell ?

Parthiv 21st Feb, 2020
No there is no probem one can take his BA from JNU  or any other and then take masters.
There is no such problem of from tech background.
If you had your BA and then tried for engineering it wouldn't be possible.
So now it is possible.
Have a bright future.
