what is the stipend in private dental college

Muskan Dhalwal 8th Aug, 2022

Hi,

MDS course duration is three years. The usual stipend that a student can expect at a private dental college can range from Rs. 3000 to Rs. 50,000 depending upon a variety of factors such as geographical location, ranking of the college and the funds that the respective college accumulates.

Here is a list of some dental colleges along with the stipend provided in 1st year (in INR)

- Amrita School of Dentistry, Kochi : 5000

- Dr DY Patil Dental College and Hosp. Pune : 5000

- Santosh Dental College and Hospital, Ghaziabad : 10,000

- School of Dental Sciences and KIMSDU, Karad : 6450

- Manipal College of Dental Science, Mangalore : 8000

- Manipal College of Dental Sce., Manipal : 30,000

- BVDU Dental College and Hospital, Navi Mumbai : 37,000

- Institute of Dental Sciences, Bhubaneswar : 49,000

- BVDU Dental College and Hospital, Sangli - 37,000

These were to give you an idea of how the stipend may vary from college to college. If you have any specific college in your mind then feel free to ask more about it. It would be better to aim for colleges with better stipend since they automatically indicate the scope of the concerned college.

Hope it was of some help!

133 marks in general category can I get a seat in private dental college

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 22nd Mar, 2022

Hi

>>>>> With 133 marks

No, you cannot get admission for BDS in even a private dental college

This is because,

With your marks , you have failed to qualify Neet examination  but  in order to be eligible for getting admission in MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS etc even in private colleges for management quota seat or anywhere  you must qualify Neet examination

For your reference,

Neet 2021 qualifying cutoff  for different categories is :-

.                     NEET 2021 CUT OFF

Category     cut off percentile  Cut off marks

General/ EWS     50th                   720-138

General-PH        45th                 137-122

SC                       40th                 137-108

ST                         40th                137-108

OBC                      40th                137-108

SC/ST/OBC-PH   40th               121-108

So,

General category student requires at least 138 marks, to qualify neet 2021.

For detailed information, visit

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cut-off

Now that,

You have failed to qualify , I would suggest you to prepare again for Neet examination .

Follow the below tips to prepare well for your Neet examination

  • Follow routine to avoid wastage of time

  • Make sure all your studies revolve around reading practicing question and revision

  • Practice is the key, solve MCQs in each chapter

  • Stress and focus more on NCERT especially for biology

  • Solve previous year question paper and mock papers of neet.

And don't worry we have Neet knockout program which will help you at every step of your preparation , the link for the same is given below

After completing BDS course from Private Dental college then how can I get Government Job in west bengal

Karishma Sawhney 29th Apr, 2022

Hello,

After successful completion of the BDS course from any dental college, be it government, private or deemed, you can give NEET MDS or INI CET. NEET MDS is conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) for entry into postgraduate dental colleges across the country. The examination is held online with 240 MCQs which are to be solved in 3 hours.

The application fee for General/EWS/OBC candidates is INR 4250 whereas SC/SC/PWD candidates are required to pay INR 3250. If you secure a good rank in the exam, you can do your Post graduation from a government institution/college and simultaneously earn.

INI CET is conducted twice a year in online mode and has replaced AIIMS PG/JIPMER PG/ NIMHANS exams. The fee is INR 2000 for General/OBC/EWS and INR 1500 for SC/ST/PWD.

Hope it helps!

does private dental college in kerala charges fee for 4 year /5year ..5th year of the course was intership.

piyush singh 27th Jan, 2022

Hello, I hope you are doing well

BDS Course in colleges is generally divided in a 4+1 year form, where the course duration is 4 years and the remaining 1 year is for an internship.

So, the fee structure is also based upon the course structure itself, you will have to pay the course fee for only 4 years and the remaining 1 year you will be doing a paid internship with a decent stipend.

Hope this helps
