MY SC RANK 84000 AIR RANK 718119 NEET MARKS 137, 47 PERCENTILE FROM WEST BENGAL CAN I GET ANY PRIVATE MEDICAL COLLEGE LIKE KPC JADAVPUR IN WB ?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 19th Oct, 2020

SC NEET cut off for 2020 has been 146-113. With a score of 137, you just qualified in NEET and so this score is too less for any seat even in Private Medical Colleges. Tthere are 3 Categories in Private Medical Colleges. Category A is the Government Quota Seats. And only candidates of the home State are eligible to apply for these seats. B Category seats are also called Management Quota Seats and they are filled through State Counselling and the remaining seats are filled through direct Admissions by contacting the College directly provided the Candidate has registered for the respective State Counselling and has not been able to secure a seat in the Counselling. Here the fees is usually nothing less than 40 lakhs. The last Category is NRI seats Category and you cannot apply for that. And you need a very good score for any of these Categories. But if you have decided about studying Medicine, you have to reappear for NEET in 2021 and score real good. That will be the only option because with this score, you cannot even get Private Medical Colleges. So you may have to consider appearing for NEET 2021. If you want to reappear for NEET 2021, you can prepare with the help of our NEET Knockout package: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-neet-may/

I score 414/720 in Neet Exam 2020.I have not sufficient money. How to admit MBBS course in low fees in private medical college. Is my score available for MBBS course?

Swetha N 19th Oct, 2020
Hello dear,

You did not mentioned your category and state domicile, so it is difficult to predict.

Generally speaking, with 414 marks if you belong to general or OBC category without any additional reservations like NCC, CAP, PWD etc you have almost nil chances of getting  a free medical seat(govt. And A-quota private).

This year, even if you belong to SC/ST category, the chances are very less compared to last year to get a free medical seat because the cut off increases this year as the standard of the paper was easy.

As you are saying you cannot afford, I'm not talking about B-category seats and deemed/central universities as they cost very high. (But one thing, in karnataka, B-category costs less (below 7lakhs per annum) compared to other states, so give it a try if you want)

But do not worry, you can try for A-category Dental seat in private colleges or you can go for veterinary or Agbsc or pharmacy and a lot more.

Or if you are firm about MBBS then you can take a drop and prepare well for the next time.

my score in neet is 495 can i got any private medical college in india i am from rajasthan

akashkumarpati.2000 19th Oct, 2020

Hey,

It's quite obvious for everyone that without officially released cut-off details for this year, anyone can't make any precise comments about the accurate cutoff of any top instituion. So in that case, we have to follow the previous year's (2019) cutoff informations for making any decision regarding your admission possibilities.

You've not mentioned your respective category in your question, so I'm considering you as a General-UR candidate.

Hence after thorough analysation of 2019's details it can be estimated that you've enough chances to get admitted in several top and eminent private Medical colleges in your residential state Rahasthan like:

  • Ananta Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre Rajsamand (cut-off marks: 488)
  • Geetanjali Medical College (cut-off: 472)
  • Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Hospital,Sitapura, Jaipur (cut-off: 432)
  • NIMS University, Jaipur (cut-off: 422)

Moreover one thing I should mention here is that the cut-off marks mentioned above are on the basis of last year's information according to your category. And we all have known to the fact that the statewise cut-off marks change depending upon several important factors like:

  • number of appeared canditates,
  • number of successful candidates
  • total number of available seats,
  • reservation quota,
  • difficulty level of question paper etc.

Still it can be atleast estimated that your marks and percentile are perfectly suitable for those above mentioned instituions for sure. So don't worry. Just be relaxed.

Please go through the following website for details:

You can also predict your colleges as per your expected marks and reservation quota:

Hello dear,

As per last year, Yes you can get a B-category medical seat in AP or karnataka as per your wish.

But the thing is, in karnataka the cost of B-category medical seats is little less compared to AP so try to get admission in karnataka medical colleges.
