can I get admission in punjab private medical college through management quota

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 16th Aug, 2020

Private Medical Colleges do not participate in All India Counselling and the seats are filled through State Counselling alone. And for appearing for State Counselling you need to hold the domicile of that particular State. . And there are 3 Categories in Private Medical Colleges. Category A is the Government Quota Seats. And only candidates of the home State are eligible to apply for these seats. B Category seats are also called Management Quota Seats and they are filled through State Counselling and the remaining seats are filled through direct Admissions by contacting the College directly provided the Candidate has registered for the respective State Counselling and has not been able to secure a seat in the Counselling. Here the fees is usually nothing less than 40 lakhs. The last Category is NRI seats Category and you cannot apply for that. Provided you appear for NEET and qualify in NEET, you can appear for State Counselling for Management Quota seats and secure a seat.

I belong to state Uttar Pradesh .Can I eligible for taking admission in private medical college under government qouta in UP if i qualified neet with required marks? What is differcence between government and management qouta in a private college? Answer with all terms and conditions!

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 13th Aug, 2020

First things first, terms and conditions are not something that apply here. You need to fulfil the eligibility criteria like the domicile. But if you are from UP, you do qualify for appearing in State Counselling. You can check the UP State NEET domicile criteria at our page: https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/up-mbbs-admission . But to give you a glimpse, to participate in UP State NEET MBBS/BDS Counselling, you should hold the domicile of UP. But those Candidates who have completed their 10th and 12th, then they do not have to submit their domicile certificate because then they will be eligible for Institutional quota. And those Candidates who belong to UP but have completed their 10th and 12th outside the State need to produce the State's domicile certificate to participate in its State NEET Counselling.

We have more than 250 Private Medical Colleges across India. Private Medical Colleges do not participate in All India Counselling and the seats are filled through State Counselling alone. And for appearing for State Counselling you need to hold the domicile of that particular State. Or else the only other option is through Management Quota.
