Manufacturing Engineering deals with technical aspect of manufacturing a product, that is the process technicalities, process, tool design and development. It focuses on production systems and practices, and their mathematical modeling. There is far less emphasis on the supporting engineering disciplines and far more focus on understanding the determinants of efficient manufacturing in different modes of production.

Production engineering basically deals with the manufacturing process based engineering such as fabrication, machining, casting ,forging etc. It deals with both technical and industrial aspect of manufacturing and is a blend of industrial management with manufacturing engineering. It basically includes capacity utilization of man, machine and material practically.

Is NIT TRICHY Production Engineering good?

If you aim to be scientist there are multiple options like Military scientist, Food Scientist, Data Scientist, Neuro Scientist.

However, the best and highly demanded designation is Data Scientist with exabytes of data being produced daily which needs to be monetized and used for various business cases.

To pursue career as Data Scientist you should take Up Btech in CSE.

All top IIITs, NITs and IITs are best suitable for this role.

As a scientist, you would be crunching data with various algorithm and find suitable business application, also you shall be developing new age algorithm into upcoming Technology like Bigdata Analytics, Artificial intelligence, Neural Networks, Natural languages processing,etc.

With respect to NIT Trichy, Production Engineering is decent and fetches an avergae salary of 5-7LPA with majority of Logistics and Manufacturing companies coming lkke Fedex, FSC, Hindalco, Reliance, Shell, Schlumberger, Vedanta, ONGC, Tata Steel, NTPC, BHEL, etc.

Production engineering in bit sindri.... Computer science in bit mesra patna campus which one would be better?

There is a bright scope of production engineering in government sector.But BIT MESRA Patna campus will be a good option if you compare to facilities,placement,study.And cse branch is best there.But in BIT Sindri placement of production engineering branch is very low around 3 lakhs per annum.But the choice of branch and college will be yours.
