You have heard right about the fees for BTech CSE .

Fees is around 140000 to 160000 approx .It is not only for commerce but also for B.Tech. Placements are around 80 to 85 percent every year so you will have to face less difficulties in aspect of placement.

Gcet is also a good option but you should go for SIT in case you are worried about placements and if you have some financial issues then Gcet would be cheaper for you.

But on the basis of last year's waiting list cut off, your chances of getting in are moderate to high. I would advice you to keep backups ready with you. It is quite hard to predict the exact situation as we don't have any official cutoffs and this depends on the number of students willing to take admission in IISER Pune.

There are about 200 seats in IISER Pune and it is one of the most preferred IISERs and hence it is highly competitive.

So, we can say that you have a decent chance of getting IISER Pune in the last rounds as most students generally don't take admission into IISERs when they get into NITs/ medical colleges. Yet, you have a really good chance of getting IISER Kolkata / IISER Mohali (depending on what your other choices were).

You will definitely get into one of the IISERs with this rank.

Hostel rooms are comfortable, centrally heated and air-conditioned, and the food served in the dining hall is hygienic, but there is no assurance that you will be hired by a reputable company. Manipal University is a great choice if you already have connections and will be able to find a solid career after you graduate; otherwise, I might not suggest it.
