Rahul Mandal 29th Aug, 2025

Hello,

Sorry, but there isn't any MPhil program at Punjabi University. Due to the University Grants Commission (UGC)'s 2022 regulation, they discontinued the MPhil course all over the institution of India. Overall, you can't enroll in this course at any colleges in India.

I hope it will clear your query!!

Yes, admission in Punjabi University, Patiala based on CUET UG scores is possible .

Punjabi University, Patiala has made CUET UG scores mandatory for admission to undergraduate (UG) courses from the 2024-25 academic session. This means that candidates seeking admission to the university will have to take the CUET UG exam and submit their scores.

I have taken english as main subject in which I am scoring 90 and an additional language punjabi in which I am scoring 98 . can I calculate marks of physics, chem, math , punjabi ( instead of English) and physical education to cross 75 percent criteria for jee

kumardurgesh1802 15th May, 2025

Hello Ankita,

No, you cannot replace English with Punjabi while calculating the 75% eligibility criteria for JEE Main or JEE Advanced .

As per JEE rules:

To qualify under the 75% eligibility for NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs, you must score 75% or more in the best 5 subjects , which must include:

  1. Physics

  2. Mathematics

  3. Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject

  4. A language (this must be English , if it is a core subject in your board curriculum)

  5. One more subject (best scoring)

However, for most boards, English is treated as a compulsory subject , and you cannot skip it in the best-of-five calculation if it is part of the main subject group.

So in your case:

Even though Punjabi has a higher score, you must include English in the calculation if it is your core language subject (which it usually is in CBSE, ISC, and state boards). You can still use Punjabi as the fifth subject if your board allows it.

No, you cannot exclude English from the top 5 subject calculation if it's part of your core/main subjects . You must include English, along with PCM and two other best-scoring subjects, to meet the 75% eligibility for JEE.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.

agr mai 12th me punjabi ke exam. me fail ho jau to mere paas compartment ka option bchega ya fir mai sbme fail mana jaunga? kindly suggest

Deepthi Pradeep 23rd Aug, 2025
If you fail in Punjabi in Class 12, you still have the option to appear for the compartment exam . This exam is designed for students who have passed most subjects but failed in one or two. Since you have only Punjabi as the failed subject, you can give the compartment exam for it.

Key points about the compartment exam:

  • It is usually conducted in July or August by CBSE.

  • You generally get three attempts to clear it: the first in July/August, the second in March/April, and the third the following July/August.

  • You need to apply through your school or via the CBSE portal.

  • If you have already scored well in practicals, you usually only need to retake the theory exam.

This exam gives you a chance to improve your marks and move to the next class, so stay focused and prepare well.
