what should I do to become a quantum physicist.

Raja 21st Jul, 2020

Hey Devang!
Firstly, you should have specified your current qualifications. Assuming that you are a student of Intermediate currently, you can start with a bachelors degree in science. Try getting an admission in best colleges of India for natural science such as IISc, Bangalore. Then based on your interest and studies, you can apply for internship at prestigious labs in the world. From there, you can contribute further to this field.
Best of luck!

  2. Introduction to quantum mechanics by david j. griffith
  3. the feynman lectures on quantum mechanics
  4. quantum mechanics by zettili
  5. quantum mechanics by H.c. verma

Hope this helps. Thank you.

Best book for the reference in quantum mechanics

shivam ranjan 26th Feb, 2020

hello aspirant...

The first book on QM that i ever read was 'A QUANTUM MECHANICS PRIMER' by D.T.GILLESPIE

Though it's quite old now (1974), I think it is still one of the best starter texts on QM out there. It assumes no more on the part of the reader than familiarity with basic high-schools algebra,and complex numbers. It covers some important topics like ;

* EIGENVALUES AND EIGENVECTORS

* WAVEFUNCTIONS

* QUANTUM OBSERVABLES AND OPERATORS

* THE QUANTUM THEORY OF MEASUREMENT

* THE SCHRODINGER EQUATION

and many more such key topics.

HOPE IT WOULD HAVE HELPED YOU

ALL THE BEST
