I belong to OBC NCL category and I am expecting around 450 in neet 2022 .Is that I have chance to get in to government colleges or private colleges in government quota.

Karishma Sawhney 27th Jul, 2022

Hello aspirant

According to the previous year cut off, an OBC category candidate scored 539 marks to fetch a seat in government medical colleges in Tamil Nadu, which is your domicile state.

When we look at the cut off's of other states too, they go as stated under, for OBC category-

Maharashtra- 554

Punjab- 550

Madhya Pradesh- 545

West Bengal- 574

Rajasthan- 630

Uttar Pradesh- 597

Bihar- 606

So you can see you have very low chances of getting into a government college, or even securing government quota in private colleges. However, you do have chances of getting the following private and deemed colleges-

Heritage Institute of Medical Sciences, Varanasi- 397

Hind Medical College, Sitapur- 398

Muzzafarnagar Medical College- 398

BLDE University, Bijapur- 367

You can also use the college predictor tool to know your chances of admission in a college/course- https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor

Hope it helps!

sir i have put punjab as state of eligibilty in neet form (ihave did11 and12from punjab) and hav put hryana as domesile state(as parents belong to haryana).I have also put permanent address of haryana and temperarory address of punjab in neet form.can i apply in pb state counselling under obc quota?

Aditya 14th Aug, 2022

Hello Pranjul,

To apply for 85% State Counselling of either Punjab or Haryana, you must need to have Domicile Certificate made from that particular state.

As you have done your +2 from Haryana but you've not mentioned from where you have passed your 10th? So, to get your Domicile Certificate of any state you have to give both 10th and 12th from that State only and should be residing there for atleast 5 - 10 years before.

Permanent or temporary address don't matter much for Domicile Certificate. You just have to be a resident of that State from past 10 years ago approx.

So coming back to your question, as you've done your 12th from Haryana so you definitely can't opt for 85% Punjab State Counselling since you can't have your Domicile Certificate from Punjab as it don't follows the conditions explained above.

Better you go for AIQ Counselling or if you've Domicile Certificate of Haryana then apply for that.

Hi,

It was established in the year 2008 by Vigneshwaran Educational Trust and offers various courses such as B.Tech, MCA, MBA etc.. The students are provided with best facilities like hostel facility, library and computer lab etc.. What is the admission procedure? The candidates who have passed class 12 or equivalent examination with minimum 60% marks in aggregate should apply for CIT Admission. I wrote the NEET UG 2022 examinations and Im expecting 359, I have sc reservation and even ip quota in ESIC...will i get mbbs seat in esic bangalore?

Aakanksha 27th Jul, 2022
Hi aspirant
See your score is quite low for admission to government medical colleges. We can look at the trends for you to have an idea of what are the stakes of you getting a government medical college.
Now, the All India Rank at 359 marks in NEET 2021 was around AIR 2.6-2.7 lakhs .
I suppose you are from Bangalore and hence Karnataka state quota will be applicable to you.
The closing rank for ESI-MC&PGIMS&R, Bangalore, in the mop up round of NEET 2021 for the SC candidates under the ESI internal quota was 274320.
So, you can see the odds are 50:50. However this may vary according to the cut off this year and the highest score.
Hope this answers your question
All the best:)

I scored 136 in NEET 2022 SHOULD I GET MBBS AND OR NOT THROUGH DEFENCE QUOTA AND SC CATEGORY

Aakanksha 26th Jul, 2022
Hi aspirant
See your score is very very low for admission to government medical/dental colleges and even private medical/dental colleges. You have qualified for the exam however in order to fetch a seat in any medical/dental college you need to score much higher. Even through SC quota or Defence quota you won't be able to get a seat.

Hope this helps
All the very best:)
