I would like to tell you that the hostel  is quite good, its fees is considerably lower than other hostels, it is well maintained and facilities provided by the hostel are good , academic facilities and library are also good

Yes, little bit of ragging takes place in this university. But it totally depends on your lookout . As per my research, some people were able to open up with their seniors, because there is more interaction. And since didn't find that at all good.

Ragging is a legal crime, many laws set up already to avoid this. But don't worry , here you will not be made depressed. You will be made comfortable by interacting with your seniors. So don't worry.

Ragging mostly used to happen in Medical and Engineering colleges but now it is a thing of the past due to strict implementation of Anti- Ragging laws in almost all types of colleges. So you need not worry now.

Some of the states have legislation on ragging and for other states the central legislation for ragging is implemented.

For prevention of ragging at the institution level these legislation lays down the steps an institution has to follow during the admission and registration process. A student during the admission process has to file an affidavit along with his parents/guardian’s signature, stating that he will not be ragging other students directly or indirectly.  Also, the institution has to publish the names and contact numbers of Anti-ragging committee of the university.

And therefore this ensures that cessation of ragging in colleges.

As you have not mentioned the name of college, so I am unable to provide you with precise information. But, government has banned ragging and has issued strict rules for the ragging cases. There is anti-ragging helpline (national) : 1800-180-5522 . I would suggest you to save this number incase you feel trouble. Also, every college has an anti-ragging committee which solves such issues. If you witness any such problem I would suggest you to directly reach out to the committee for actions as ragging might cause severe problems.

Ragging is a serious crime which is banned by the government of India. Also, there is a punishment in Indian Law if anyone finds following ragging. Shri Swami Atmanad college does not have cases of ragging till now, but if it occurs with any student they can directly reach to the authorities until it is too late.
