Hello aspirant,

The eligibility of students with Biology as an additional/ optional subject is in the supreme court but until it gives its judgement students, these students are eligible for NEET.

NOTE: Students who have passed Biology as an additional subject are also provisionally eligible for neet until Supreme Court gives its judgement. For neet 2022 there's still time left so in meanwhile if judgement comes then eligibility of biology additional students will depend upon the outcome of judgement.

So, as for now you can appear in the NEET examination.

Beside this there are further eligibility criteria;

  • Qualification required : As per Neet eligibility to be eligible you must be either appearing for 12th board examination or should have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology and English as core subject.
  • Minimum aggregate marks: General category aspirants must have passed the qualifying examination with 45% marks, while for SC/ST/OBC the minimum marks should be 40% and atleast 50% marks in physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology.
  • Candidates must have completed 17 years of age either at the time of admission or else on or before December 31 of that year od admission. The decision over the upper age limit for NEET exam eligibility has been challenged in the Supreme Court. Despite pending the court's judgment, candidates are allowed to appear for the exam and admissions.

Hope this helps!!
All the best!!

in 2018_ Passed 12th-PCM - REGULAR from Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (RBSE) AND in 2019_ Passed 12th again in Only Single Biology Subject as REGULAR Student from Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (RBSE) So, am I eligible for NEET 2021 ¿ and which Codes I choose 01 to 07.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 19th Jul, 2021
Hi

Yes, yes you are eligible for NEET even if you havestudied Biology as an additional /optional subject later on from your RBSE board

This is because,

The eligibility of students with Biology as an additional / optional subject is in the supreme court but until it gives its judgement students, these students are eligible for neet

Here's the eligibility criteria for NEET :-

*Qualification required:-As per Neet 2021 eligibility to be eligible you must be either appearing for 12th board examination 2021 or should have passed 12th board examinationwith physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English as core subject.

ImportantNote :-Students who have passed Biology as an additional subject are also provisionally eligible for neet until Supreme Court gives its judgement.

*Percentage required:- You must get

  • at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology in 12th examination if belongs to general category

  • at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to st/Obc/ Sc

  • at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.

*Age limit:-to be eligible for neet one has to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December in the year of appearing for the examination i. e 31st December 2021 in case of neet 2019, no age limit as of now.

So, if you fulfill this Criteria then you are eligible for Neet examination .

For detailed information about neet examination eligibility go through our page for which link is provided below; -

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-eligibility-criteria

Coming to qualification code
As you have passed from RBSE board i. e Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education

You need to select code 2 as it says :-
Code 2 :- code 2 is for all those who have passed their 10+2/ higher /senior secondary / Indian School Certificate Examination with physics, chemistry, biology and English.

Thank you

hllo Im 1st year bsc student and 12th passed last year by RBSE board which code I Should use

Khushi Goyal 17th Jul, 2021

Dear Student,

Use Code 5 if you have all the three subjects i.e. physics, chemistry and biology in your BSc. Otherwise, use code 2 for the same.

As per Code 5 for NEET qualifying criteria 2021:

Anyone who has passed the first year of a bachelor's degree from a recognized university with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology inclusion of practical tests.

Best Wishes!

I got 95.20%in 12th class with science from RBSE board and i want admission in Delhi university which college i want ...?

ayanmukherjee045 22nd Aug, 2021

Dear aspirant,

As you have mentioned that you have secured 95.2 % in your 12th boards and taking into consideration that this is your best four marks so let me tell you that you stand fair chances to get colleges like hindu college, hansraj and other parallel ones.

You can opt for geography hons, political science, history , hindi but maths , economics has a higher cut off.
