how to get into robotics after doing bsc physics? suggest your ideas pls

Abhishek Roy 18th Aug, 2021

First I think, you should pursue M.Sc. in Physics with Research and Projects related to Fields involving AI, Robotics and Physics. After M.Sc. in Physics in India, you may perhaps pursue MTech(Robotics, IoT, Automation, AI), from some of the Higher Technical Institutes in India or maybe MS(Research)/PhD in Robotics in India or Abroad.

Another option, I conceive is maybe after B.Sc., you may prepare for an Associate Degree B.Tech from A.M.I.E (Institution of Engineers) in a relevant Interdisciplinary branch followed by MTech in Intelligent Automation, Robotics, Smart Manufacturing and related branches from Top IITs or IISc Bangalore followed by a career in Industry.

is mathematics very important in robotics or ai if yes so why

Hey !

Mathematics performs a significant part in AI and robotics such as robotic modelling, planning and execution, it's mathematics which creates magic behind all Al and robotics invention, there are lots of complex situations that's create complex equations, mathematics helps scientists to deal with these complex equations to form software framework and functional Robotics.

I hope this information might be helpful for you,

should I do PhD in robotics after mtech in artificial intelligence and if yes. is it worth it ?

Abhishek Roy 8th Aug, 2021

You may pursue PhD in Robotics after MTech in AI, perhaps only if youre interested in a Career in Research whether in Industry or Academia. Otherwise, after M.Tech in AI, you have fair chances of securing a Job in the IT, Software and Technology Industry. You may atleast get a work experience after MTech followed by deciding on PhD.

what is difference between ai and robotics

Khushi Goyal 7th Aug, 2021

Dear Student,

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a branch of computer science which involves developing computer programs and applications to complete tasks which would otherwise require human intelligence. AI algorithms can tackle learning, perception, problem-solving, language-understanding and/or logical reasoning. AI is used to control robots via AI algorithms.

Robotics is a branch of technology which deals with robots. Robots are programmable machines which are required to carry out a series of actions with set of instructions being given autonomously, or semi-autonomously. Robots are made to interact with the physical world via sensors and actuators.

Artificially intelligent robots are the bridge between robotics and AI. They are robots which are controlled by AI programs.

which is the best programming languages for development of such a advance robots

Hi

The best language for programming advanced robots, the people who are working in advanced robotics asks this question atleast once in their career. But there is no simple answer to that question. People use different types of languages while designing, some use c++ for performance while some use python because it is easier to learn and use and it can be used to develop ROS packages.

Here are some languages widely used for programming a robot

C/ c++: because the hardware libraries used in robotics, use one of the language. Provides good performance but not easy to learn

Python: language found in ROS

Java

C#/. Net

MATLAB: Used in data analysis and development of control system

Hardware description language ( HDLs)

LISP and prolog

Industrial robot languages

Scratch

Pascal: the one of the 1st programming language. But it is good for programming an Industrial robot.

Hope this helps

gitam vizag is good for robotics and automation engineeeing..??

Suchana Datta 15th Sep, 2021

Hi,

GITAM university is known for its high educational standards and excellent infrastructure. It is a well known university with high-tech facilities for students. Infrastructure of the university is excellent and the area is very large. The classes are good the labs are High-Tech and very spacious. Many events and annual cultural and technical fests take place every year. The university takes its own entrance exam called GAT for admission into the college.

placements in the campus are excellent. Top companies like TCS, Infosys etc come to visit the campus for recruitment. The students are allowed to sit in the placement drives according tobatches. Like the students having 90% and above are categorised as batch 1, 80% above as batch 2 and so on.

Hope this helps

Wish you luck
