However, I would suggest you otherwise. For an In depth education, you must enroll yourself in a Mechanical, Electronics or Electrical Course at some of the Best Engineering Colleges in Maharshtra like IITB, VNIT, VJTI, COEP, SPIT, VIT Pune, KJ Somaiya and other Top Engineering Colleges under Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur University. You will get ample opportunities as well as Elective courses to learn Automation, AI and Robotics from some of the Best Faculty as well as these colleges having a strong employer outlook, also lead to great career scope and placement prospects with leading employers. You may definitelt specialize With projects and internships in field of robotics besides having a strong degree in Mechanical or maybe Electronics and Communication, leading to excellent career scope and placement prospects.
Yes, I believe you have moderate chances of securing CSE (AI) at VIT Chennai with a Rank of 26000, however you might have to wait till Category 2 or 3. In Category 1, you have chances of IT or EC at Chennai. You still have options at VIT Vellore like Mechanical or Chemical or maybe CSE at VIT Bhopal.

hi,
see there is very few institute in India offers m.tech course in robotics, among iits/ iisc, IIT kanpur has m.tech course on robotics and automation. however eligibility conditions states the students from background of Aero Engg, Comp Sc, Elect/Electro/Comm Engg, Mechatronics/Instrum Engg are eligible to apply.
however you may follow the below link to know about the complete list of college name which offers m.tech in robotics engineering:

Hello,
Although you can study Robotics by taking any course in IIT, there isn't anything specific. However, if you very much focused on that, then try for Electronics or Mechanical Branch. Robotics in general comes under the mechanical branch, but having a knowledge about electronics would also help you.
Dear aspirant,
See in india as per robotics is concerned there is no seperate course in robotics but as per my knowledge you should prefer one of these colleges-
1- IIT kanpur
2-BIts Pilani
3- iisc. Bangalore
4- IIIT allahabad
5-manipal institute of technology
6-Jadavpur university
7- amity university
see robotics is an interdisciplinary stream , you may become a robotics engineer by studying in cse stream or embedded stream or instrumentation stream. from this year candidates are eligible to apply for two gate paper, so you may apply gate from mechanical engineering or computer science engineering. however now it depends on you whether you can take preparation for two subjects simultaneously. however my suggestion is to take mechanical paper of gate, since you have studied it in b.tech and have better understanding.
hope it would help.

Hello student B.tech is more preferable and demanded in comparison with BSc. B.tech is a technical professional degree (engineering) which has good career prospects. Starting package of B.tech robotics is around 4-5 LPA (lakh per annum)
Eligibility - Candidates must passed or appearing class 12 in physics chemistry and Mathematics with minimum 60 percent marks from a recognized board.
