Dear Aspirant
Sanskrit is one of subjects of study in the first year of Bachelor's of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery curriculum. So yes some of the students have already come across this subject previously in their school level but if you don't have any prior knowledge then no need to panick as it resembles Hindi in most of its aspects. So if you can read and write Hindi, you will be able to identify Sanskrit words as well, and adapt it time to time with your efforts.
Good luck!!!
