A. For example, though there is a close relation between invention and science and engineering, an inventor is not necessarily a scientist or an engineer. B. An engineer, on the other hand, uses existing technology and scientific understanding to design better objects or processes, but an inventor creates something that had never previously existed.
C. Inventors defy definition; as a result, they are frequently defined by what they are not.
D. A scientist is said to be a discoverer-that is, somebody who by acute observation and brilliant analysis is able to find and explain something that already exists in nature.

Option 1: CBAD

Option 2: CBDA

Option 3: CADB

Option 4: CDBA

Team Careers360 24th Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: CADB

Solution : The correct choice is the third option.

The paragraph starts with sentence C, which introduces the idea that inventors are challenging to define and are often described by what they are not. It is followed by sentence A, which provides an example to illustrate the relationship between invention, science, and engineering, emphasising that an inventor is distinct from a scientist or engineer, followed by sentence D, which contrasts inventors with scientists, explaining the role of a scientist as a discoverer who explains things that already exist in nature. The paragraph concludes with sentence B, which contrasts inventors with engineers, highlighting the difference in their roles and the creative aspect of an inventor.

Question : In which year was the Doppler effect discovered by Austrian scientist Christian Doppler, which describes the change in frequency of any kind of sound or light wave produced by a moving source concerning an observer?

Option 1: 1846

Option 2: 1844

Option 3: 1842

Option 4: 1840

Team Careers360 11th Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: 1842

Solution : The correct answer is 1842.

Christian Doppler, an Austrian physicist, initially described the Doppler Effect in 1842. It is visible when the pitch of a vehicle's horn changes as it approaches and recedes from the observer. Christian Doppler first tested the effect of motion on waves by hiring a group of musicians to play on an open railway car as it moved along the track.

Which is better Mtech in aerospace engineering or MSc physics for an ISRO scientist? Actually i am so interested to go for MSc physics. Now iam a 12 th standard student. Is there any more consideration for an aerospace engineer to become an ISRO scientist?

ginnisachdeva02_9364270 Student Expert 17th Feb, 2021

Hi Candidate,

If you are interested in MSc Physics, then you must go ahead with your interest. Complete your undergraduation, then go for MSc physics. Later,  ISRO Centralised Recruitment Board (ICRB) which conducts an entrance exam for the recruitment of vacancies in technical posts/researchers/scientists etc. Check out the pattern, syllabus and clear the exam. Then you will be called for interview, if you qualify that too, then you can join ISRO.

Hope I answered your query, thankyou!
