Im taking part in UP ayush counciling , if I register for round 1 and payed security money but lets say I did not got any seat in round 1 do I need to pay security money again in round 2 , and if I didnt got any seat in round 2 do I need to repay in round 3 and so on ,, pls tell

Afreen 9th Sep, 2025

In UP Ayush counselling if you register for Round 1 and pay the security deposit but dont get seat, you will need to pay the security money again if you wish to participate in Round 2 and it applies to all rounds.

generally, the security deposit amount is refundable if you dont get a seat during the entire counselling process but it can be forfeited if you are not joining an allotted college in later rounds.

All the best..

Im getting a seat in a college in 2round which is my last option as a college (under all india counselling). For the college I want, I may get the seat in 3round under state counselling, but as a security if I take the college Im alloted in 2round, can I still resign from that college in 3round?

Abhilasha Agrawal 31st Aug, 2025

Yes, you can resign from a college allotted in 2nd round of All India Counselling if you get a better option in the 3rd round of state counselling. Most AIQ rules allow withdrawal before the next round without losing eligibility. Some colleges may deduct a processing fee and you need to submit a resignation form to get your documents back. However, if you resign and don’t get a seat in state counselling, you may end up without any seat. Treat the AIQ seat as a backup only if you are confident about getting your preferred college.

in abvmu upcnet and upcpet exam i qualified and participated in counselling and deposited 10,000 as security money of both 5000 both i got a college and then decline due to some area reason is there 8s a chance to get security money refund

Bipasha 7th Aug, 2025

The student may be eligible for a partial or full refund of the Rs.10,000 security deposit (Rs.5,000 each for ABVMU UPCNET and UPCPNET), depending on the refund policy of the respective counselling authorities.

Usually:

If the seat is not taken or admission is not completed, and the student withdraws within the given time, security deposit is refundable after deducting any processing charges.

But if the student got a seat and didn’t join, refund may not be guaranteed unless the university explicitly allows it under area/location-related withdrawal cases.

The student should immediately:

1. Check the official brochure or counselling guidelines for refund rules.

2. Email or contact the counselling authority (ABVMU or concerned university).

3. Attach proof of allotment and payment receipts while requesting a refund.

Note: Refund rules vary each year, so direct confirmation from the official source is the safest step.

If I get a college in round 1 of neet UG counselling and i want to upgrade it to round 2 but I didnt get any college in round 2 so can opt for round 3 without any forefietment of the security payment?

Nikita shahi 4th Aug, 2025

Hello,

Yes, if you were allotted a seat in Round 1 but didn’t take admission or chose the upgrade option, and didn’t receive a seat in Round 2, you can still participate in Round 3 without losing your security deposit—as long as you did not join the college physically or complete the admission process. It's important to follow the official guidelines during the upgrade and withdrawal steps to ensure your eligibility for further rounds.

DO WE HAVE TO PAY SECURITY DEPSOIT RS.2 LAKHS SEPARATELY FOR AIQ AND STATE COUNSELLING FOR PRIVATE AND DEEMED COLLEGE

Chelsie G 23rd Jul, 2025

Yes, you have to pay the 2 lakh security deposit separately for AIQ counselling (for deemed universities) and again for state counselling (if the state requires it). These are two different counselling authorities, so their processes and payments are handled separately.

For example, if you're applying through MCC for deemed universities, you’ll pay 2 lakh there. If you’re also applying for private colleges through a state counselling like Maharashtra or Tamil Nadu, that state might also ask for its own security deposit. So yes, you might end up paying both.

Prachi Kumari 21st Jul, 2025

Hello,

Yes, if you don’t get a seat in any of the rounds, your security deposit of Rs. 2 lakh will be refunded.

The refund is usually done after the counselling process is over. Make sure your bank details are correct in your application.

During neet counselling registration During NEET counselling registration, do we need to pay only the registration fee, or is the security deposit also required at the time of choice filling or only after seat allotment?"

Prachi Kumari 21st Jul, 2025

Hello,

During NEET counselling registration , you need to pay both the registration fee and the security deposit together.

You have to pay these before you can proceed to choice filling .

You don’t need to wait for seat allotment to pay the security deposit.

Hope it helps !
