Generally admission notification in Sikkim University will be out by April. Last year the Sikkim University has opened it's application form from April to May. This year due to lockdown admissions couldn't get started.It is expected that once the lockdown is lifted admission notification will be released.Until then keep visiting the official website for news. Sikkim Manipal institute of technology offers B.Tech CSE along with a bunch of other courses. As of now, the placement cell of SMIT has a really good track record.

Companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, Wipro, Dell, TCS, Capgemini etc are known to recruit students from this college. The average annual package is around 5L p.a. but the highest annual package can go up to 18L p.a. as well. About 93% of all students get placements on an average in every batch.

Apart from placements, personal reviews suggest that hostel facilities as well as overall infrastructure is student oriented in many aspects. There's a wide range of facilities for students to pursue extracurricular activities apart from the course curriculum.

The faculties are well qualified and knowledgeable as well. Quite a few are M.Tech passouts from SMIT itself.

The fee structure, however, is quite hefty in SMIT. Total fees for the course are around 12-13L INR. If you do not mind the fee structure, you are free to opt for this college.
