Candidates who are in the rank list and obtained a rank are eligible to participate in the counselling. There is no specific cut off to attend the counselling. If you are unable to register for the counselling you may contact the helpdesk for technical issues. The counselling for SRMJEEE 2022 Phase 1 started from January 25, 2022. The choice filling began from January 25, 2022 and the last date is January 26, 2022. At first congratulations on your wonderful performance in the entrance examination. In the main campus of SRM there are around 1600 seats for Computer Science and Engineering so there is a very good chance that you might get one either in core for any specialisations. It cannot be confirmed that you will get a seat in core branch or not because there is a high demand for CS seat the college and there are multiple ties at various ranks. But going along the previous trends it is almost certain that you will find yourself any specialisations in CSE for sure. Also you can opt for information technology or electronics and communication engineering if you do not want to go for specialisations.

Your rank in SRM jee 5087 which is a good one rank in SRM jee. Rank between 5000 to 10000 is treated as good rank in SRM jee.Rank between those ranks who have the opportunity to select best future prospective stream of study in BTech computer science engineering, & electronics and  communication engineering will be the best choice filling opportunity in counselling. Every person with above rank will get first preference    for choice filling the stream of study between the two. As you've got 5087 rank so you may appear in counselling for choice filling session whether you joined the course or not that's your point of interest. No future barrier will be happened.

During the counselling choices and preferences of candidates are recorded and seats are allotted to them based upon their performance in the entrance examination. Superiority is given to the candidate with better rank while allotment of seats but this is completely dynamic process and it is not possible to predict the last rank for any particular branch in advance.
