Economics is no doubt an excellent subject and is one of the esteemed subjects. As you like economics and want to pursue your future into it, you should do it. Delhi University colleges are not normal colleges, they are among the top rankers in NIRF and among 100 top universities in world. So Economics Honors from Delhi University is absolutely not a waste of time.
Colleges like Delhi School of Economics, Shri Ram College of Commerce, Lady Shri Ram College, Hindu College, Hans Raj College, etc. are best colleges for Economics Honors courses all over India.
After pursuing Economics honors there are many job opportunities that are with lesser work load and more paid than SSC jobs. For example, Financial Risk Analyst, Economic Researcher, Investment Analyst, Agricultural Economist, Business Economist, Cost Accountant, etc.
On the other hand SSC is a good option but an option with risk. Risk of whether you will qualify or not. So its better to pursue your dream.
Hope it helps.
All the best!!!

Hello Aspirant,
The Uttar Pradesh State Open School Board (UPSOSB) is not valid. Any of the certificates furnished by this board is not reliable and will not be accepted by any education or a job-related field.
It is not included in the list of valid boards of education in India.
So, the SSC certificate furnished by this board is not valid for postal GDS posts.
NIOS board of education is a better alternative as it's valid and recognized by the government of India.
I hope it helps.
Thank you.
Hello Vivek,
See there is no percentage criteria to appear for JEE-Main but it is required for admission to NITs/IIITs/GFTIs and as per current criteria the 75% criteria has been waived off and now you only need to pass in class 12th so as you have passed in class 12th so you are definitely eligible for admission as well as for JEE-Main and if you qualify JEE-Main then you can definitely appear for JEE-Advance through which you can get admission in IIT Bombay or any other IITs depending upon your JEE-Advance rank but note that there are some criterion which you need to satisfy in order to appear for JEE-Main so let us discuss them.
JEE-Main eligibility criteria is mentioned below :-
1--- Age criteria :- There is no age limit to appear in JEE-Main but note that there might be the age limit in any particular institution taking admission through JEE-Main score, so you should keep this thing in mind.
2--- Qualifying Examination :- To be eligible for JEE-Main one should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics as mandatory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject from any of the recognized central or state board.
3--- Year of qualification :- For JEE-Main 2022 only those candidates who have passed Class 12 / equivalent examination in 2020, 2021 or 2022; or those who will be appearing in Class 12th / equivalent examination in 2022, would be eligible to appear.
So if you follow all above criterion then you are definitely eligible for JEE-Main.
