If we wish to do BCOM in Statistics, then in most of the colleges, you will be asked to have Statistics/ Pure Mathematics in your 10+2 level. So if you have the Mathematics paper which is learned by the Science student in 10+2 then you are eligible for the course, else with Basic Mathematics, you may not be eligible for most of the colleges in India. See, it is quite okay if you donot want to pursue bsc in Mathematics , there is no issues. But as per my opinion a bsc degree will not let you in a decent job so it is better to pursue Bsc in IT as it will help you in getting a good job in it world.
Right now IT sector is at boom due to this you will get ample of opportunities if you are good with computer.
