Can a commerce student persue in masters of construction management as he completed his 12th and graduation with the commerce stream

Nitin Kumar 20th Apr, 2024

Yes, a commerce student with a background in 12th and graduation (B.Com) can pursue a Master's degree in Construction Management . There are usually no restrictions based on the undergraduate stream for enrolling in such programs.

Some universities might have specific prerequisite courses in mathematics, statistics or basic engineering principles for their M.Sc. CM programs. These prerequisites ensure students have a foundation in quantitative subjects relevant to construction management.

Iam a diploma student and getting admission asan lateral entry student in btech in this present academic year 2024-2025. I just want to know about the colleges.

Swayam 11th May, 2025

Many prestigious universities in India allow straight enrollment in the second year of BTech for diploma holders looking to lateral into the program for the 2024–2025 academic year.  State-level entrance examinations like the AP ECET, TS ECET, JELET, UKSEE, and OJEE, or university-specific tests like the IPU CET for Delhi, are usually used for admission.  Manipal Institute of Technology, Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (Delhi), and other government engineering colleges in states like Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Haryana, and Odisha are renowned institutions that provide lateral entrance.  Typically, eligibility needs a minimum of 50% on a three-year engineering diploma.  Check the websites of individual colleges for precise dates and processes since application deadlines differ by state and school.

I am student of Engineering Institute which is affiliated to Mumbai University.. So I am currently studying in 2nd year of Engineering but I want to quit this course After second year Is it possible? and can I need to pay remaining 2 years fee to college

Rithwik Kumar Sahu 17th Aug, 2025

es, it is possible to quit your engineering course after the 2nd year in Mumbai University–affiliated colleges, but the rules depend on your college’s policies and admission bond/undertaking signed at the time of joining. In most private/self-financed colleges, students are required to sign a bond stating that if they leave midway, they must either pay the entire course fee or at least the remaining year’s fee. Some colleges strictly enforce this, while others only charge till the semester you studied. If you’re in a government/aided college, usually you only need to clear dues till the last semester attended, and no future fees are demanded. Best step would be to check your admission documents, fee refund rules (AICTE/UGC guidelines), and confirm directly with your college office. Many students have been allowed to exit without paying future years’ fees, but it varies by institution.
