Composition of the supreme court:-
Including the CJI there are more 34 judges in the supreme court.
The judges sit in benches of 2 or 3 or in benches of 5 or more when there are matters of fundamental questions of law is to be decided.

Explanation:
The suprime court upheld the law in acted by the centrein 2006 providing a quota of 27% for candidates belonging to the backward classes in central higher education institutions. But it directed to government exclude the 'creamy layer' among the OBC while implementing the law.
