With 8k rank you have a chance of getting admission for bsc agriculture and also private veterinary colleges. In bc e category previous year cut off for veterinary was around 3k and bsc agriculture it was around 16k. So you have a good chance of getting admission in bsc agriculture.

Since your subject for Master's was English, you can only give NET/SET exam for English or related subjects.

You had one subject of Linguistics but it was not your specialization I assume. You are eligible for NET Linguistics only if you have completed your MA in Linguistics or any related field. Therefore you cannot give NET for Linguistics.
