Symbiosis releases three merit lists to take admissions. As you mentioned that you have been waitlisted with 96 in first merit list for SCMC, and according to the previous year records you have quite low chances to clear the waitlist by 3rd merit list. In 3rd merit list your waitlist number might decrease upto 23-30 but chances of getting clear are low.

I would suggest you to keep other college as your backup plan in case this list does not get cleared.

Symbiosis Pune is a deemed university and it's very good reputable college. If you are doing here CA with BCOM then attandance is not problem. But you have to submit lots of assignments and mcqs. But if you are taking honours then you should keep your 75% attandance otherwise no issues with it..

The cut-off for Symbiosis Pune College has been raised to 500 students, and many pupils have been accepted. It may differ this year according to the amount of students who attend counselling and other factors. The chances are a little slimmer. Still, give it your all. To be on the safe side, apply to other universities as well.

You have a good probability of getting into the selected list. However, if your luck works and many students opt out of the first or second list, you may be able to get in. The top 150 or 200 waitlisted candidates have a better chance of being admitted, however the number of lists provided by Symbi college varies year to year. Continue exploring other choices until then, and keep one or two options as a backup. All I can say is that yours is a (50-50) kind of case, based on what I've seen.

Cutoff trends keep changing every year and it depends on the number of students attempting the examination, difficulty level of the exam, number of available seats, etc. With a score of 41 in SLAT 2021 Examination, you can try to secure a seat at SLS, Noida as the Day 1 cutoff is around 30-35. If you are from General Category, it's gonna be a bit hard to secure seats as the cutoff is high.

Engineering students do get benefits of work experience but all other students from different backgrounds also having work experience can get benefitted. Also students from different academic background have academic diversity benefits that engineering students don't get. Female students get gender benefits that male students don't get. So you still have a really good chance of getting into a business program if you do well in the entrance exams.
