can i get bams government seat. Im obc category in tamil nadu with 383 neet 2020 score

theeanonymous 27th Oct, 2020

Hello Simme,

Cutoffs depend on number of seats available, number of applicants, difficulty level of the exam etc. This year the competition is a little high so for OBC category the expected score is around 420-440+ for government colleges . However under state counselling you can try , based on the availability of seats you may have a decent chance . If you do not get govt. seat you will sure get a very good private college. Hello

As you may know the admission to Tamil Nadu seats are don eon the basis of the state merit rank and unless we have your state merit rank everything will just be a rough estimation.

However with your rank you may get admission in Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Medical College and Hospital, Perambalur

Karpagam Faculty of Medical Sciences and Research, Coimbatore

Tagore Medical College and Hospital, Chennai

Velammal Medical College Hospital and Research Institute, Madurai

how much discontinuation fee should i pay if i leave govt. bds course in first year and join govt. medical college (mbbs) in tamil nadu??

daniasufian2000 5th Dec, 2020
Hey...
While getting admitted into a course of BDS there is an affidavit you and your parents have to sign where there's a clause that states

If you want to discontinue in the middle of the course then you have to pay the respective fees of all the further years without which you cannot get admission in any other course.

For e.g. : if your package is of 8 L then if you decide to discontinue the course after 1st year and want to join MBBS they first you have to pay a total amount of 8L to your college and then only you can take admission anywhere else..

So there's ain't any penalty but you have to pay the whole fee.

Think before you make any step.
Choose wisely!
Regards!

I got 501 marks in neet 2020 BCM category from tamil nadu...what are my chances to get seat in tamilnadu government colleges..

ABHIK SHAW 24th Oct, 2020

Hello,

Based upon the marks that you have scored, you have quite less chances for securing a government college seat for state quota in Tamil Nadu. However you have good chances for private colleges for state quota seats. Now all of it depends upon the cutoffs which are yet to be released.

Would suggest you to use our NEET college predictor to get the list of colleges where you have chances of admission based upon your stats -

Hope this helps!

Thank you.

can i apply for councelling in government medical colleges in tamil nadu and karnataka if i am a resident of kerala?? if yes can i apply now?

bhavana p 2nd Dec, 2020

Hello aspirant,

Hope you are doing well,

If you are a residential from Kerala state, you can only participate in the State Counseling of Tamilnadu for its Management Quota seats of Private Medical Colleges. For Government Medical Colleges, you need to participate in All India Counselling. You haven't mentioned your NEET score and the Category you belong to and so it is difficult for us to predict your chances.

If you had registered already you can participate if not it is not possible to participate under government all India quota.
