will I get into a government medical College in tamil nadu or Kerala (obc category) with a neet score around 500?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 12th Aug, 2020

Nandana, you haven't mentioned the State you hold the domicile of. 15% of the seats of every GMC are contributed towards Central pool and they are filled through All India Counselling. For participating in All India Counselling, you do not need hold the domicile of any State in particular. But to participate in the 85% of the seats of GMC and Private Medical Colleges, you need to hold the domicile of that State. So it is important to know the domicile of the State you belong to because the cut offs are different for All India and State Counselings. Nevertheless, 500 might be a tad less score for a seat under OBC Category. Because if if you belong to OBC Category, the Category you belong to should be also listed in the Central OBC list. Or else you will be considered as General Category. And then around 500 becomes less score. So you should aim atleast 500 and above for  All India Counsellings. In 2019, the cut offs in Tamilnadu Colleges increased approximately by 75 marks on an average, If that holds the same for this year as well, 500 becomes a tad less for All India Counselling. 500 might be a good score for State Counselling in Tamilnadu but less for Kerala State Counselling.

The average fees all over india for B.E marine engineering is 2 lakhs/year.
The best college in tamil nadu for B.E marine engineering is:
Coimbatore Marine College.
Fee structure: 2 lakhs/year.
Infrastructure: college infrastructure is good enough. Wifi facility is available in the campus. Classroom are good enough. Laboratories are well equipped. Library is well maintained and computer laboratories are in good condition. Hostel facility are not so good but also not bad. These are of medium facilities. The quantity of food is good but quality is not so good. All the machinery is available in the campus.
Faculty: They are well qualified and they also share their experience about their student life in student campus.
Other: scholarship is also available in the college. Placement opportunities are good enough. Many students get placed in the campus placement drive. A few companies are already committed to recruit the students.
It is overall a better college for B.E marine engineering.

Sharon Rose Student Expert 2nd Jul, 2020

Hello,

Your expected overall rank will be around 3346. You can calculate it by the formula (100-your total percentile)*112679/100

112679 is the total number of candidates appeared in JEE Main Paper 2 in January session. Considering 2019 cut you may get seat in

  • NIT, Hamirpur: 3599
  • NIT, Raipur: 3886

However, cut off may increase or decrease depending on number of candidates appeared, difficulty of exam, number of seats available etc.

According to the data 50% marks is sufficient to get secure your seat in Sri Krishna College of Engineering if you are belongs to any reserve quota or you are belongs to Unreserve quota you need 60% marks. So you can get seat in this college securely or may be you can get seat through the government quota so you can try it.

which is the best college for Bsc Agriculture, Lovely Professional University or Tamil Nadu Agriculture University in all aspects (teaching, study, placements, field work, hostel, mess, etc). Please suggest me the best.

Vidushi Sharma 10th Sep, 2023

Hello reader,

I hope you are doing well,

It's hard to say which is the best college for BSc agriculture, Lovely Professional University (LPU) or Tamil Nadu Agriculture University (TNAU), as both have their own strengths and weaknesses.

LPU is a private university located in Jalandhar, Punjab, with a large campus and state-of-the-art facilities. It offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in agriculture, and its placement record is good.

TNAU is a public university located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, with a smaller campus but modern facilities. It also offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in agriculture, and its placement record is good.

Here are some factors you may consider:

  • Location: LPU is located in Punjab, while TNAU is located in Tamil Nadu. If you prefer to study in Punjab, then LPU is a good option. If you prefer to study in Tamil Nadu, then TNAU is a good option.
  • Academic interests: LPU offers a wider range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in agriculture than TNAU. If you are interested in a specific program, then you should choose the university that offers that program.
  • Career goals: If you are interested in a career in research, then LPU may be a better option. If you are interested in a career in teaching, then TNAU may be a better option.

Ultimately, the best college for you will depend on your individual needs and preferences.

I hope the information shared by me was helpful to you!

Thank you:)
