Can I get admission in KGMU for OT technician without giving entrance exam

Tanisha chaudhary 5th Jun, 2025

HEY THERE!!!

  1. Admission to the OT (Operation Theatre) Technician course at KGMU isn’t possible without clearing their entrance exam .
  2. The university’s process is pretty straightforward: you need to have completed 10+2 with Science subjects, submit your application, and then actually qualify through their entrance exam or whatever selection process they have in place.
  3. They don’t offer any kind of direct admission for this course—everyone has to go through the same competitive route.
  4. If you’re thinking about bypassing the exam, that simply isn’t an option at KGMU.

Hey . Im kiran . I have done my graduation in B.sc Life science from IGNOU university and have a 2 years cardiac technician diploma. Now Im willing to do masters in cardiac technology. Kindly guide me for this .

Samriddha Pal 27th May, 2025

Hello Kiran,

Given your B.Sc. in Life Sciences from IGNOU and a 2-year diploma in Cardiac Technology, you're on a promising path toward pursuing a Master's in Cardiac Technology. Most institutions offering an M.Sc. in Cardiac or Cardiovascular Technology require a B.Sc. degree in Cardiac Technology or a closely related field, a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree. Some universities may consider candidates with a B.Sc. in Life Sciences combined with relevant clinical experience or a diploma in Cardiac Technology. The universities may also require entrance exams like AIIMS PG, JIPMER PG, or state-level CETs.

Hope this helps. All the best!
